Game Day - Richmond vs Brisbane - QF 2020

I'd be moving Sheds into George position for the rest of the year as he won't have the legs for the midfield. George misses out. Been pathetic for a very long time. Ross and another midfield option to come back in.
Markovs dash would have been handy as well tonight and don't think he did much wrong to be dropped 2 weeks ago.
Too many passengers have finally caught up with us

Can't watch, what did he say?

Didn’t catch it all. Said when the coaches review the game they’ll be horrified at the errors and decision-making. Something about Brisbane giving us chances and Richmond not being good enough to take them.

Didn’t he watch Hawthorn this year?

Lambert getting a free pass here. Has been putrid all year. How many poor games before any scrutiny on him??
our worst player this year by miles..has done nothing and did nothing tonight once again....yeah chol was awful...bolton was deplorable with his selfishness but lambert was completly invisible.....must surely be dropped

I reckon the first 5-10 of the 2nd cost us SA, we were dominating and couldn’t even get a snap on goal , normally we’d get 2or 3 in that period of dominance, should have been 4 goals up and ripped there hearts out

Yep agree. We were so dominant that first 10 minutes of the 2nd and we kicked 1 goal despite I think they showed 80% time in forward half. If we had opened that up then we would have been 3 or 4 goals up midway through the 2nd and I reckon we go on and win from there.

Just quietly, folks.

We’re on the right side of the draw now.

West Coast can do anything, likewise Collingwood on their day.

Port are a team of blue collar bruisers. Like Melbourne but with ticker.

They will turn it over.

We can beat them. With the right selection and structure.

Had Castagna free over the top when he blazed. Symbolic of our lack of composure when out of our comfort zone.

I would argue Dusty had more chance of kicking it than Castagna. But not alot went right for us tonight. Brisbane deserves some credit for the pressure they applied. We just rely now, so much on Lynch in the side. He takes 1st backman giving Reiwoldt more free reign and they know how to play each other's patterns.

Really felt sorry for Nanks tonight. Played 91% game time which is simply too much. McInerney played 78% and Martin 62%. Ruck is a huge issue for us with no reasonable backup.

Those 2 50 meter penalties goals didn’t help.
Amateur time

True that. That period showed us how much we missed Lynch.

It was a strange game all round I think. We were not cohesive all night.maybe recent changes to the line up affect team balance more than we think. I think we are carrying our small forwards this year and Astbury back has affected the structure a lot. (Yes chol was awful and we were undisciplined and the umpiring sucked too)
I'd have to agree with this re Astbury. Something just doesn't feel right down there with both the talls. We played the whole year with just one, with Balta being excellent on his own. Maybe we're a bit top heavy now? Feels like we're better with the extra runner in Markov or Broad. I was surprised one of the talls wasn't thrown forward and Chol thrown in the bin in the last quarter. Had to change something up.

I thought we'd beat the lions tonight tho.....
