I think Balta can be a handy pinch hit forward but our backline became a weapon with Balta in the main role this year , I’d neally throw DTLD forward and get him out of Baltas way then the other way around

Correct. I love Nank. Love him. He's a warrior. But he got completely carved up tonight.

The worst part was we activity gave him the ball several times in open play and he stuffed it up. He definitely has runs on the board over the last 3 years and yes he is a warrior but why do our midfielders handball it to Nank...happen about 5 times tonight and I reckon it cost us 2-3 goals.

I like Balta getting the oppositions main man, his proven he can out mark not just spoil and also gives great rebound for us when they try to go through there main man , I’m not saying DTLD shouldn’t be there it’s just his moved down the rung a spot .

After tonight I feel that Balta should be also pinch hitting in the ruck so don’t agree. Who is going to help Nank in the ruck when Lynch comes back for Chol?

The hindsight selection from tonight’s game would be Markov in to play on Cameron. Grimes the general last line of defence. And Balta the defensive ruck and Nank the forward ruckman.

Lynch alone changes our outlook. Had Lynch played tonight, Andrews doesn’t do as he pleases.

Depending on who we play next week I can't see us changing the defensive structure. Saints play with 3 tall forwards, Dogs play with a couple. Reckon more so, we needed more connection in the forward line, we needed better ball use going inside 50.

Dusty's kicked poorly for a few weeks in a row, he rarely makes it 3 in a row.

I think it more of a coaching issue than one player affecting the other. Both Dave and Noah are needed and the coaches need to work out their symmetry for next week

Someone said Caddy was barely running so sound like he wasn't fit anyway. With Caddy not in, who would we play as that 2nd tall forward option if it wasn't Chol. Play Miller for his debut??

Another 12 minutes would've been nice.
Nank was beaten but we split the stoppages, we actually won the centre clearances 14-7.
Anyone thinking he can't take us all the way mustn't have watched 2017.

Lynch missing was the main problem tonight, repeat inside 50s and we just couldn't win or halve it.
1 or 2 clunks could have made all the difference.
Absolutely everything went against us, momentum killers aplenty yet we were still close.
Can definitely see us still winning it all from here.
