Changes for Semi

Btw, did you get your tkts for this friday's game? So spewing cant be there, have gone to every final prior to this year. I spoke to the club and they said as im in Vic you cant go. The border is closed to Victoria. Was so impressed with our support last week against the Lions. We had plenty and sounded very loud on the TV

Yep, I'm a starter for Friday. Also have tickets to the pre-match function at the golf club across the road. Staying tomorrow night and Friday night at the casino so really looking forward to what is hopefully the penultimate game of the QLD carnival of AFL (just need to do those Port ferals over next week).

I'm really confident this week. I reckon we will do them by 10 goals.

Apart from Aarts going out all the rest in the fox sports article is speculation.
Personally I would be very surprised if Chol plays

This is Dimma forcing st kilda to think about this move.
Strange. Thought he was going to tell the AFL world our ins and outs on Monday.

worked a charm last week

Which half forward was responsible for Rich? 10 coaches votes. Someone should pay price?
Mind you Brisbane got ALL the votes. Was it a 10
Goal margin?

So does this mean Chol plays and Dusty rucks again? omg !
If Chol is kept in I can accept that. He would be named on the bench to change with Nank just like Soldo was in 2019 GF. Chol can then just concentrate on his ruck work, which he's trained for all year, so will be better for him. With Aarts in the team last week we were down 1 tall so restores some balance c/w that GF team.
Maybe not the best time of year to be experimenting with Broad or Balta in the ruck.
Still like to see Markov in for Pickett.

Ben Long's appeal has FAILED. He'll miss this week's game against Richmond. Reasoning to follow.

“Given the degree of force, the degree of head impact, the momentum of player Long, all of which the jury were entitled to find was clearly established by the video, we consider that no error of law has been identified in the findings of the jury.”

Tried but failed.

Long played well against us in round 4, i weren't surprised they went all out to clear him and i am not unhappy that their appeal failed.

Is definitely in their best 22

Thought he was unlucky . Given some earlier decisions this year.

Do we truly believe this?

Chol is not Soldo (at the same time) and right now Chol is clearly a burden (IMHO)

Earlier in the year he showed some promise - but the last few weeks he has been a weakness (clearly!)

In Dimma we trust.

He played Chol whilst Tom was out so that the remaining structure continued to gel (eg In Lynch Out Chol)

Aarts might be dropped for (Caddy? Ross?) but otherwise Dimma doesn't make wholesale changes - and he sure as heel doesn't do it during finals.

If Chol is named tomorrow - I will be (genuinely) GOBSMACKED!

Chol simply isn’t an AFL standard footballer. Isn’t a ruck and can’t play as a key forward. For all his athleticism and other positive traits he just doesn’t offer what we need. He’s been given every chance simply because Dimma is so structured in his approach. He will not, and can not, be played this week. We will have to make alternative arrangements whether that be Balta or Caddy or anyone else

Chol for Lynch

If Aarts isn’t available then a replacement for him will be chosen on merit

Dimma said that Lynch was 98 percent right to go for last week.
Makes me wonder why we didn’t play him.
backed fired.
