Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Higgins will give it a fair dinkum crack at St Kilda
He'll have his patches of good games etc but I'm not so sure what sort of long-term future he has at AFL level.
Wish him all the best. Might prove me wrong, but I'm not unhappy that he has moved on.

If MRJ, (who will go 3rd round or above in this draft IMO), is an upgrade on Higgo maybe Saints should've just offered a 4th rounder to get the Higgo deal done;)

At risk of re-opening an old wound... could this influence Rance to come out of retirement?
Two years out, would a returning Rance make much difference to our side? We have moved on although some other club my be interested

OMG, Please tell m this is a joke.
Higgins has left?

I just got him tattooed on my arm.
Geez-wizz

Caught a bit of shifter on radio today, talked up MRJ as improving greatly or words to that effect.

Shiftee is one of the great half glass types though , pretty sure he said a kid with the skills of Tim Fleming and the toughness of Jayden Stephenson who was only 4ft 2 was a good rookie chance

Wish him all the best and hope he succeeds at St Kilda.

He’s had a crazier 18 months than anyone. After 2018, he had every reason to believe he’s in the path to having a great career.

Massive pre-season, did all the extras... but he lost form in 2019 and was nowhere near the same player.

Then came the brain surgeries. We know the story. But he makes a comeback and then... the whole season stops after 1 week because of a pandemic. Months later, he joins a hub... plays okay, but loses form and gets dropped.

It’s harder to get through these things if you don’t really fit in. I’m not saying he didn’t fit in, but he didn’t seem as resilient as some of our other players who’ve been dropped.

People need to remember too that he is all in on his footy career. Took a year off school to concentrate on getting drafted. Having heard him speak I don't think he has a lot to fall back on.

And with Jnr coming on board this year, and let's face it his name will get him some serious grace, Jack was a long way back in a premiership team.

Reckon the decision he made was the right one for himself, and I do think ultimately us.

Best of luck Higlet.

Wishing you all the best for the future JH. I would have loved to see you get a premier ship medal. May your tenure at the Saints allow you to actualise your full potential. You may be in a different jumper n my mind you will always be the jocular little tiger. Good luck and say hello to Butts.

Shifter said Fiona would be the most likely to win a Brownlow medal from his draft year and took about 10wks too long to nominate Stack, Bolton and Baker for the Rising Star - clueless senile old git

You may have summed it up well. Really didn't factor in the MRJ factor but let's hope he can make it. Long way out.

I will never forget trade day 2000 or 01
Shitter Sheehan said about Pettifier "He is captain material and he leads from the front'
That was the last time i ever took notice of him
I was on flight back from Brisbane and i had Scotty Clayton sitting next to me, as soon as i told him im a Richmond supporter, he started to give me *smile*. I almost got into fisty cuffs with him on a plane.
He said Richmond could have 9 of the first 10 picks and they would still not pick the best player.
