You might need to postpone your trip to Cuba!

Interesting that they’ve allocated a number to our old Mate? Does this mean he’s joining us this preseason? Premature allocation if it’s the following season
he is on our list whether he joins now or next year

What is the hate for No.13 other than superstition?

I seem to recall that was Phil Egan's number. Can't recall anyone in particular wearing it since.

There was one bloke who took a screamer then goaled to give us a narrow victory over the Dees in 2009.

Ricky Petterd, Brad Miller.
Matty Francis, Sanchez, Powell, Miller it killed Petterd with injury and also hit Higlet after he went well in the Push Up Kings #28.

Higlet shouldve stayed in the #28.

Phil Egan is the exception when it comes to modern era footy post 1980.

Powell was handy but thats about it for the #13 since 1980.

No one has had any luck with 24 since Billy Barrot left. It was tragedy what happened to Cogs and to a lesser extent Griffiths.
#28 had the "Push Up King", Mark Merenda (initially before he switched to #8), Hulka McQueen, Pete (Cheddar) Czserkaski, and Andy Preston in the early 80's era.

Fraser Turner and Scotty Homewood both had the #28 but neither ever played a senior game in it.

Both the Strangs wore it also.

Another fairly mediocre number at the Tigers apart from a handful.

And of course the Grand Magical #16

David Cloke on his return in 1990 was the best to wear it since the great Bryan Wood.

Stevan Jackson, Ben Holland, Shaun Hampson, Patrick Bowden, Shane Morrison and of course "The Flying Pencil" ol mate Luke "muscles" McCalamity McGuane............................. its been a sad state of affairs.

C'mon Aartsy FFS ........................... see if a little bloke can do something for it.

#15 seemed to be cursed for a while. It was Fred Swift’s number and Jamie Tape’s. Ben Marsh had it. Shorty has broken the curse, though.

Tapey wore #5 I'm pretty sure Carn.

So Did Bruce Lennon.

Both of them were good young players, who both played good footy straight away.

Tapey went to the Pies after losing form and sadly passed away from illness that I believe affected his last year at the Tigers when he went off the boil.

Bruce Lennon was likened to be our next Merv Keane type, as a HBF, who from memory did his knee the year before so didn't come to Vic or play in his first season.

Played 28 games in 2 seasons 92 and 93 and kicked 7-8 odd goals, was a pretty smooth mover had poise, and a good kick and negator.

Went back home to SA and dominated for Sturt winning a few B and F's.
