you're better than that Lee. i like a lot of your posting on footy, unlike Posh, who is rather bland TBH
Well you're really not sounding as interesting on this subject as the rest of your posting. It sounds as though you're trying very hard to be logically "correct", to the point of advocating reverse discrimination, which is not logical at all.

The world has changed a lot over the last 15 to 20 years, imagine if Billy Birmingham released his 12th man and the like now. I must say, while I haven't heard any of it for quite a few years but I did get a bit of a laugh out of it.

Lyon continuing his pretty average 4th innings bowling record in tests. Averages over 30 in the 4th innings when everything in his favour. Only 3 times in his 99 tests has he taken a 5 for in the 4th innings. Strike rate over 60 (one wicket every ten overs). Lyon's overall test average is 31.97

As a comparison, Ashwin averages 27.55 in test cricket. In 4th innings he averages 19.19 at a strike rate of 45. He has taken 5 for on 6 occasions despite bowling over 300 overs less in 4th innings than Lyon

Lyon has been a good bowler but only in the scheme of Aust offies and longevity.

Let's hope now I brought it up he flies through the remaining 5 wickets.

Paine might have just dropped the test. That should have been a straight forward catch for the captain. Disappointing.

He's a regular dropper now. And his field placings have been near on diabolical most of the day.

Super tough efforts from the Indians, however been pretty poor performance imho from the Aussies , even though we’ve appealed a lot there hasn’t really been a lot of genuine chances, just not a great day for the lads considering we’re bowling to a batsman who has done his hammy and a bloke who averages 27 .

Boring days cricket imho

Yep, very good bowler but can't be depended upon to bowl his team to victory on the last day like the greats. Didn't bowl badly but like the other bowlers, couldn't raise a special effort.

Just have to tip your hat to the visitors. Many Indian teams of the past would've folded in their position.
