NFL & NCAA Football Threads

Reckon I saw the Indians play the White Sox on opening day 2016, was bloody snowing , had to get 3 polish sausages to keep warm
I couldn't even eat half of that foot long hot dog with onions, cheese and ridden with sauce at Shea Stadium in a Mets - Brewers game years ago. *smile* these Yanks can eat! :))

That looks like creaming soda Red....where's the froth?? :))
Not the best poured beer. In fact they are terrible at pouring beer full stop in the US. That’s why I always drink out of a bottle or a can whenever I can over there.

I like their 600 ml depth charges over there.

Yep. Just as bad as the Pommies' Ales.
Their beer is good over there. It’s just that they can’t pour it. Stronger. More options everywhere eg Stella, Heineken, Amstel, Carlsberg, Bud, Miller, Coors, Pabst, Guinness, Mexican beers...whatever takes your fancy. Plus it’s cheaper and you can buy it anywhere. Delis, supermarkets, chemists, petrol stations. You can even buy a beer when you get your newspaper. Awesome !

Heh heh....is that Vegas? Love the 24/7 service the Yanks provide.

As for the Pommies, it's just not cold enough for my experience. My Scouser BIL gave me a slab of Carslberg recently which I didn't like and gave it to my neighbour. Love the pubs in the UK but *smile* with beer and had to force some in (inc. Guinness and Stout) while with some guys in an Ashes tour I went on.

Yes. The old downtown part.

NFL Draft Day almost here. Expect Niners will take Mac Jones. (Giants will probably fall asleep again and let the clock expire....)

Any Alabama kid is good.

When are the Steelers gonna draft a QB? Getting tired of Big Ben still there like a geriatric. We keep drafting RBs too often.

Heh heh there's rumours the NE Spats will get him. Bloody hell.....as if Cam Newton wasn't bad enough.

He’s not the best QB I’ve seen nor the worst. A better run with injuries and an uncomplicated offense and he might be useful for someone.

The UK pubs are incredible to have a beer in but boy the food can be hit and miss.

NFL draft claiming to Have more potential hall of fame QB’s then you can poke a stick at.

Yep, although breakfast always tastes good with those eggs and bangers.

True about the draft. I'm just desperate for the Steelers to get one as Big Ben keeps ageing. All the secondaries after him haven't performed well to take No. 1 spot over the years.

Giants don’t really need to be involved in this draft , pretty much a lock for the Super Bowl anyway , though if dangerous Dave sets his alarm I’d say you’ll be hearing “the pick is in “ waddle is our man

Whiners fans going absolutely ballastic on Mac Jones. Don't want him at all, I'm in a couple of fan groups and without even seeing him throw an NFL pass, they're reacting like when the Knicks drafted Porzingis in the NBA. They were booing the place down.

People get so sucked in by pro days and athletic strengths but I just want a QB that can throw the ball on target, not how fast he can run. If he's damb well running a lot what's that say about your O-Line.

Not saying I want this kid, or the others in this years draft because depending when this stat is calculated only 41% of Round One QB's are franchise successful, the other 59% get traded within a few years. I'd be happier taking one in the second or third round. Like Russell Wilson.

So it's likely the 5 QB's who might go early today, 2 of the 5 will be successful, the other 3 not. Hope my guy is one of the two hehehe. Go Niners!!

Eight hours to go....... And with the 3rd pick the San Francisco 49ers select......

Opening with Kings of Leon lol, we'll get some unknown group to do our Grand Final, or an old act Like Meatloaf :sleeping
