GAME DAY - Tiges vs Dees

That qtr was painful to watch, however despite the Demons getting a run on if Castagna was able to put away his snap for goal that wasn’t overly difficult, and Pickett hadn’t of given away the free in the ruck contest we would be only a goal down, which I would take after what I saw.

tiges with every chance to get it done.

Don’t just single them out. Easy pickings.
The blokes with the big pay cheques haven’t been sighted.
Yeah but forward pressure has been our one wood. It’s not there tonight. These blokes are not getting the job done when the ball hits the ground. Demons just waltzing out of our forward line. These blokes are key and have a half to turn it around.

We’ve barely got a decent player anywhere. 4 goal turnaround in the wet is just horrendous.

We did it 3 or 4 years ago - Dees had a good lead in the Anzac game and we did it easily in the second half on the back of some Jack magic - think it was wet then too.

They are well on top but let’s see if we can lift.

Houli needs to be replaced ASAP. Dimmas loyalty may also be his downfall in the end

We’ve still had 31 to 26 inside 50’s and those three haven’t touched it.
6 touches to Martin, 4 to Cotchin, Lynch couldn’t catch a cold and Edwards barely sighted. These guys are getting torched by their direct opponents.

Hoping for a big turn around this quarter. Still in shock after watching the Casey Dees slaughter our boys in VFL. Time for Dimma to show he is a good match day coach!

Different Melbourne team this year. It pains me to say it but they look the goods. We threw the kitchen sink and they steadied and now will stroll to an easy win. Reminds me of the Tigers of yesteryear.

I think we need to look at how we are send the ball into forward 50. Long kicks into 50 has not been our go to play for years. Run and carry has been our one wood. Then get numbers in their and lock it in.

Demons look the better team. Out forward line dysfunctional with Castagna and Rioli out of it.
Like to see Balta and Dusty alone in forward 50 in second half.

Well said.
Also Jackmond missed a gettable goal that nicked the post.

Lynch’s marking has been very disappointing this year. Is his hand still no good. Looks like he couldn’t catch a beach ball in his hands.

We’ve had 31 to 26 inside 50’s and they've had 6, 3 and 2 possessions respectively. They’ve been terrible getting it and, keeping it in, as you point out.

Lynch really starting to annoy me. He's easily bumped off the ball. For a bloke his size he cant mark even with minimal pressure. Constantly gets caught behind his opponent. For the money he is getting im expexting Carey type games.

Our half forwards are rooted from running too far up the ground to compensate for the stand rule.

They are not making it back when we attack hence we are outnumbered at the fall of the ball and our kicking at goal is suffering through added fatigue.

Pickett should be played in the midfield, he's our best midfielder when he's playing in the ruck, he'll be even better if he doesn't have to go up in the ruck.

We need to change something up forward. Jack has been good this year but he's not a pack mark player now. I'm not exactly sure what Lynch's strengths are anymore.
