This guy is going to cost us a pretty packet to re-sign.
He will be worth it.

Every single time we ask this kid to step up and do more, he sees the benchmark and passes it. What an inspired draft choice he was.
Match winner right here.
On the flip though, should he leave for huge cash, RFC could get as much as 3 first round picks and along with the Geelong 1st round pick would give us 5 1st round draft picks this season. That is great trade flexibility or just use them to bring in a group of young guns. I would rather keep the known ( Bolton) but the consilation prize aint to bad either.

Didnt work too well for him last time

When Dusty was the same age and touring other clubs Richmond stuck fat and Dusty returned to become a better player and a better person
I dont think shai wants to leave and i dont think Carr wants him to leave but it will be more where shai wants to be.

The $$$ part of it is the easy part imo
We will offer $550k x 4 Other teams may offer $700k x 4 and we will settle for $600k x 4 and thats $50k after tax
You dont leave your club unless is like the Brando Ellis type difference 350 x 3 v 600x5

Shai will sign for 3 years imo

I’m not sure where the 500k stuff comes from , Frank Fritz dosent low ball that much , it will need to be 700k a year unless we give a super long term.

Thing I really like in Bolton’s improvement is the composure he has now with the ball, uses his electric agility to create space, while soming up the situation in his head

My appreciation of the WA lad has gone down a bit , spook informed me Friday night that Shai is actually a boarding school Toff, here I was thinking he was a good hard working country lad , but no .....shattered

Scholarship perhaps?
Caulfield Grammar currently have a few indigenous boys boarding that are tied to our programs. I’ve met them and you definitely wouldn’t describe them as toffs.

Saw them pass on the chicken sandwiches and Pimms and lemonade at the formal celebration for start of the ski season.
Disgusting behaviour.

A toff I think is someone who comes from an extremely rich privileged background and they know it and show it so is usually white, and male and goes to a private elite school. They are raised to think they are better than us.

I can’t see Shai in that description even if he went to a private school.

thought Jon Ralphs comments about his value was weird timing Friday night.
Sure, Shai is worth the coin, but Ralph is a classic Murdoch clickbait 'journo' and right down there with Cornes in the slop.

Ralph knows Richmond is a big club and a money making club.
Today's hearld sun 'Dustys monopoly'
Dusty is buying everything in Richmond.
Carr is setting Dusty up after retirement, he is the best player manager ive seen in over 40 years.
I thought Nixon was good before the school girl saga but Carr has buried the others like McDonald, Pertro and Kelly.
Bolton will sign for 3 years to get him to free agency and he won't have any fears of retiring without money under Carr.

I’ve met plenty of boarding school toffs that were country lads. But you were being sarcastic -weren’t you? If so I won’t go into how the loneliest place on earth can be the public bar at a country pub if you’re an ‘outsider’.

Scary bit is that Dusty is buying all these properties in a bunch of different company names set up in partnership with the merkin n some other bloke. Hope Dusty's got some kind of handle on who owns, controls n pays for what n isn't just a siphoning bin for the others.
