Thomson Dow

Has an electric step on him. Not sure his potential as a starting midfielder but most certainly as part of a midfield rotation. Hopefully gets an uninterrupted preseason and can put some weight back on but very promising along with Hugo

Good work Ghostie

Dow has a decent step side step. Maybe i haven't watched him enough, but i didn't realise h ehad this in his game to this extent. He left a number of Roo players groping at thin air.

He looked good. I thought the game was really uncontested which allowed his smaller body to get into the game. Not sure how he goes against the bigger sides we may face in the finals.

Nice mover.
Looked good. 2 full uninterrupted Preseasons and games will have primed for the midfield..
In the last 2 weeks our kids have shown their class stack cj dow Mansell and Ralphsmith.
Add a few more at the end of this year we have another quality group coming through

I missed the game so didn't get to see the lad put on a good game.

What opposition top liner does he play like just to give me an idea where he is best suited?

Is he like a Hunter from the Dogs, Duncan from Sooks, Parish from Drugs type, a Rory Sloane or Walsh type from the Blues.

Obvioulsy this lot are racking up massive numbers, but as a youngster does Dow play similar to any of these guys or is there someone else that he is more akin to in his play.
Shane Edwards is probably the best comparison with a little bit more burst out of packs. Kicking a bit shaky like edwards also. Good prospect.

The bit at the end where he slipped, then changed direction with the ball in one paw was exciting. First game I've seen anything above average from him at senior level. A welcome surprise.

Dow resembles and plays like a very young Simon Black

Elite agility, very classy mover, elite hands in tight.

Was a coming of age game against one of the best performing contested teams in the comp, even though they are last lol.

There have always been big wraps on Dow, next season for him may be beauty.

Think many have jumped the gun off one good game against the wooden spooners. Has some tricks but has a long way to go

Coleman-Jones will be a great player in a good team. He’s actually a ruck that can go forward.
I like him in the ruck also. Looks to tap it to someone. If we don’t keep him we are mad and the club that gets him will have a gun

Sorry off track - Dow was awful tonight. Insipid plus butchered the ball. No star quality on show here. One pre season & then 2022 to show he can be a player. Suspect not. Not quick enough, skilful enough or big enough. No tricks.

I didn't think he was as bad aa some are making out, and the stats back that up. 14 at 78.6%, 2 turnovers. Not sure thats butchering it. He certainly seemed to get it in tight a lot more. Kicking was iffy though for sure tonight.

I'd give him another shot next week.

Think we’re catastrophising way too early. Almost everyone was abysmal last night. I think the senior players are exhausted and have already checked out (subconsciously). The juniors can’t help but be dragged down by that.
