Round Whatever. The Other Games.

Yep, punching the ball over the fence when it was already out of play. We got done for one of those at Geelong in 2009, except the kick had crossed the goal line and they got a second goal from it.
Don't remember that but a recent incident would be the free, 50m and goal that we got when Westhoff punched the ball into the crowd in 2019.

Just finished reading through this thread after having to switch over from the BL v WCE to this Geechaet V Dees one. Later, so demoralised by the Moggs dominating and a boring slog of a game, flicked over to Newsreader on ABC (not a bad show).

Simply couldn't believe it when a Dees supporter friend texted me back the game ( I'd texted sorrow for their loss when I switched off).

Such fun reading all the posts here. Suck it up Salty, Duckwood and Danger-elbow. Turned into a pretty good day.

AFL is such a rigged game though. Umpiring is a rort.

Just read up here in Brisbane that apparently an extra 26 seconds was mistakenly added to the clock in the last qtr of Lions-Eagles game.

Thats the difference between top 4 or not for the locals.

AFL contacted for comment - no response as yet

The Dees got themselves forty points down. With a simple root cause. Salem is always a problem. But Gawne, May, Petracca were conspicuous. Harmes. Lever. Smith. Ugh. And even Clarrie spent the third quarter throwing himself on the ground and crying or limping to the bench with a fat lip.

At three quarter time the coach must have used the dirty words to his simpering charges - "body language". And then they turned up to play football.

They'll beat Geelong by ten goals in any final.

More than happy to barrack for Pordadalayde next week.

Greatest home n away coach ever n his pensioners might be out in straight sets, just to sweeten up the finals series.

Still makes me green with jealousy and resentful at the Carlton FC that Brisbane were garbage at the same time as Carlton a few years back. Fast forward past then and they're in the top four and Carlton are still nowhere.

2015: Carlton (18th) Lions (17th)
2016: Carlton (14th), Lions (17th)
2017: Carlton (16th) Lions (18th)
2018: Carlton (18th) Lions (15th)

2021: Carlton (13th?) Lions (top four for a third consecutive year)

If that's not a shameful indictment on Carlton, its board and everyone involved then I don't know what is.
Hope you're not looking for sympathy BB? Won't be much to be found here :))

Funny how Mr. Hocking adding all those rules, forgot to take one out. Classic, well done *smile* Head.

And speaking of sympathy, seems the flippant and sycophantic AFL media have already begun the sympathy campaign for David Teague.

Go after the bloke and barrack for his sacking most of the season, then change their tune once they've got their man and the bloke's been hung out to dry.

It's so typical of the media's narrative of each and every coach that gets shown the door in the AFL and it happens every damn time.

Pathetic really, and they don't seem to bat an eyelid at the irony of it all. Flogs.
