Coronavirus

We’ll cover the NSW numbers pretty easily at this rate. Vast majority of cases in still northern and western suburbs. Not sure of today but yesterday it was 299 out of 334. People over there obviously ignoring lockdown. Very depressing.

Vaccination targets can’t come quick enough.

This is obvious on the below data. We need to set up mobile stations AZ as supply is no issue and get the jabs in arms.

Surely we don't still need dear Aunty Gladys to come tuck us in and check under the bed for monsters?
I think they should have press conferences to tell as the facts. But I wouldn’t care
if it’s not done by the Premier.

In fact I think James Merlino did a better job in his press conferences.

And if anyone has ever listened to the chief minister in the NT he is the best of the lot. Direct, transparent and easy to understand.

A man in their 30's and 40's in NSW die in their homes, test positive post death. Sad some people are unwilling to come forwarded to get treated/tested for whatever reason.

Clearly don’t agree with everything Gladys has done. Scrapping the daily press conferences IMHO a great move. Significant waste of government resources. Weekly is probably the right amount or as needed when significant changes in the rules or setting forward expectations.

imagine in your own workplace preparing the boss or being the boss reporting on what happened yesterday to everyone. Every day. Ludicrous.

I think the fact that they made these daily pressers the norm, only to then decide to stop doing them the week cases are expected to peak is the issue. Too much of a coincidence in my book.

I agree that daily pressers are probably too much but they were the ones that decided to make it the norm.

100% agree with why the outrage.

If you are doing something that is a waste then don’t keep doing it. They have already said the worst is coming. People just want to be outraged / make links and trained by social media to do as such.

Not to mention so many sites given 100% exemption from.worker number limits by the CHO. Strange given they are in top group of transmission locations.

I think we will have stories like this next year as well, but they will be the unvaccinated who will be too proud to try and get tested and then treated.

I’m not suggesting these two men were anti vaccination as they might have had appointments. May they RIP.

Yep fair enough. Personally Ive stopped watching them every day, mainly because nothing new is being said anyway.

Wonder if Vic will follow suit at some point given we will not be returning to 0 cases for a VERY long time - so at some point they will need to make a call on it.

It's more the fact that she's taking a risk by easing restrictions and backing away from facing the public at the same time, yet the way she's framed it is "We're near the peak and things should start improving soon".

Interested to see the reaction if the virus doesn't play ball.

Sorry Anty. 14 day protocol in this case. Original protocol was three days then tests on days 4 and 5. FLCCC protocol is 5 days.

Anty I am going to enjoy the Cat's demise tonight and also celebrate a very good Dee's team. I'm pretty exhausted on this thread and pretty much said all I want to.

I might actually watch the granny now. Good luck to you . Stay safe, Take care and see you in preseason(y)

Appreciate your efforts Lamb, you are a good sport. Have a good break mate!
