Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

I'm wavering on my 'keep' stance.

with nank and soldo to reunite and jack going round another year, I don't think we can guarantee the lad senior games.

may as well get something good for him now while there is a little mystique around his true value.

I would be right behind CJ and Pick 7 for Taranto if thats an option, but interest from GWS seems to have cooled.

Hopefully he stays, if he doesn't then we probably won't get market value.

Below is a table of several other talls, many of them also young like CJ showing stats for this season. Clearly CJ spent much more time in the ruck this year than any of them, yet still compares very favourably with goals / game ratios etc.

If it’s true we’ve offered him 2 years and he just wants longer, I’d be happy for us to offer 3. I think he’s shown enough. A year more under Jack’s tutelage (still getting lots of game time) then full-time alongside Tom. Bigger crowds and more chance of finals in the next 3 years than at Norf or GCS.
I suspect both are on the market.
With CJ it is the tricky balance between offering him so much he will stay, and offering so little he will go.
Also between the encouragement needed for other clubs to bump up their offers and our compensation, and being left holding both, in which case Chol likely to be delisted.

I think we should keep CJ, but also, if we keep him, he has to be given games, no point otherwise. If we are not willing to play him when both Jack and Lynch are playing then sure, go ahead and trade.

Gotta play Jack somewhere else or not at all. I think he could play wing switching into the forward line as-needs. If we have a final year player costing us a shot at an 8 year player, then that's just careless management.

It's nail biting, it's exciting its who gives a shiit?,
Does he stay or does he become the next Tim Barling.

I don't see CJ as anatural replacement for Jack. Very different players. He's closer to Lynch.
It's a dilemma. Getting the feeling he'll be elsewhere. If so I hope we're well compensated.
