I reckon we can get the Dogs' first and could even package 26 and 28 to Port for their 16 if they want to get both Dawson and Mitchell. Go to the draft with 7, 15, 16, 17/18.

looks good, could we package our next year's first rounder and a second round this year swap for a under 10 pick? Not knowing who who's in this draft, but reports (not sure how true), there is a wealth of talent in this year.

Usually agree with not trading a future first, but this year l think it has merit. Especially if we believe we can make top 4 next year, which would make the pick 15 to 18 before bids.

Saints may be open to trading their pick 9 this year if they are keen on getting King from Gold Coast, they would need at least two firsts.

Add the 9 to our current picks and you can get 6 young players with talent coming through together.

INTEREST BUILDS IN SUNS' PICK​

RICHMOND and Adelaide are among the clubs interested in Gold Coast's pick No.3 with the Suns open to splitting the selection for multiple top picks.

The Suns inquired about trading up to pick No.1 with North Melbourne listening to offers, but the Roos are strongly tipped to hold the selection with South Adelaide teenager Jason Horne-Francis in their sights.

As reported in Inside Trading earlier this month, the Suns are open to trading their top-three pick for two early selections, which has seen the Tigers show interest. Richmond is well placed to make a move up the board with picks 7, 15, 26 and 28 inside the top 30.

The Tigers could package multiple selections to jump up the order, with future picks also an option at their disposal.

The Crows hold pick No.4 at the draft but that will be bumped back to No.6 after bids on father-son pair Nick Daicos and Sam Darcy and they have also shown interest in potentially edging up the board. Adelaide also holds pick 23 but will also be looking to negotiate a trade with Sydney for Jordan Dawson.

Finn Callaghan, Ben Hobbs and Josh Ward are all midfield options pressing to be top-six draft picks, while Josh Gibcus and Mac Andrew are the tall options in the mix outside of Darcy.

Any pick swap deal at the top end could come much closer to November's NAB AFL Draft, however, with clubs able to swap selections up until a week before the event – and then again during the draft. - Callum Twomey

I saw that article and it was promising.
But if JHF is off the table should we go pick 3, is it really worth it? Is it worth missing out on 2 players in the next tier?

I noted that Stack was also likely to re-sign, but the three talls were still "uncontracted"

I tend to agree. Unless there’s a chance for Horne-Francis or unless we really rate Callaghan, it doesn’t seem there’s a sufficient difference in those next rung of players to warrant using the draft capital in that way.

Maybe GCS see it the same way with their pick 3.

Wonder if Richmond will try and push hard on the CCJ deal with North to try and use that to package up a deal with GCS for pick 3.

GCS don't have too many spots left to fill on their list and have Academy players they may be even able to pre-list (depends what the AFL rules on that) or match.

GCS also have pick 19 (?) & 22. Got a feeling they may also prefer future picks. Our Pick 15 (or North's pick 20) + a future pick for pick 3? Target Collingwood's future second round with our later picks as they need the points = So could be 15 + Collingwood's future second round + maybe another future pick . Could also swap 26 or 28 for a future pick off a team.

Would still give us 3, 7, 15/20 (depending on CCJ), 26, 28(?)
