I hope so! if we trade our picks 38 & 40 for next year, then something is brewing. pick the best 4 in our picks regardless mid, tall, etc.Yep its been a consistent message from both Balme and Hartley today that we don't have the TPP room. If its real then clearly some guys are getting overs and if its a convenient excuse then we're keeping our powder dry for someone next year - Ben King hopefully.
Not sure why you have the need to denigrate and belittle other posters just because they disagree with your point of view.Great input - lol
It wasn't that you disagreed with my point of view - I have no issue with that. Not sure why you have the need to denigrate and belittle other posters just because they disagree with your point of view.
Personally from both Highlights both looked incredibly similar in most ways.Sorry Bully, don't see a bit of Bont in Goater besides the body size. The Bont highlights below are silk I don't see that all in Goater. I have major question marks on his kicking. He reminds me of RCD if anyone but a less polished version. Not someone I want with the first two picks.
If Gibcus is there at our pick we will take him.It wasn't that you disagreed with my point of view - I have no issue with that.
It was the blunt, unintelligent comment that warranted the response
No one ever drafts a player that they think is *smile*.
I'm not the only one saying Gibcus is a top 10 talent - anyone with any idea on this years draft is saying the same.
That would be Cotchin/Rance like again. The double act that never seemed possible before the draft.I'm dreaming of a Hobbs/Gibcus double
I remember that and couldn't believe my eyes, think I was even talking about buying another top 10 to get a look in. Best fortune we've had and made better by Carlton selling the farm to get Judd. No way we win a premiership without those two, Judd probably bumps us out of the Dusty range too. Some big lessons in that episode, also from a West Coast perspective. Godfather deals for a rookie? Now that is taking things to the next level. That would be Cotchin/Rance like again. The double act that never seemed possible before the draft.
Think you may have missed the nuance of my short, blunt unintelligent rebuke. It wasn't that you disagreed with my point of view - I have no issue with that.

I think so, right on Sonsie's range, particularly given the WA boys will likely be gone. Essendon may like him, perhaps as Shiel insurance.Could we pull off a Hobbs/Sonsie with picks 7 & 15?
I suspect one of them if not both will be definitely there at 7 but could the other slide to 15?

So says you.Another couple of points if I may, DA. Gibcus is high on draft boards precisely because there are so few quality talls available this year.
And that's the point, you can get an All Australian quality back later on in the draft, happens all the time. If he is a swingman then different story.Personally I'm not a fan of drafting KPD's in the top 10. A lot of the good ones are drafted later.
Midfield or a KPF for me.
Great call re: Florent. The Gold Coast Hobbs link at 3 worries me. Not sure he is the best pairing to go with Rowell & MIller. If they take Hobbs it tells me they have major Rowell concerns. But I'd be fine with Hobbs and Sonsie. Sonsie is starting to remind me of Oliver Florent for some reasons.
Blair Hartley's view:DA I reckon if you name me our mids at VFL level I'll also be able to show you a bare cupboard. On what they have shown, we need better quality than RCD, Ross Dow and Martyn.
Dusty, Cotch, Jack, Sheds and Lambo are over 30. Lynchy and Prestia pushing 30. Cotch, Jack and Sheds should retire at the end of 22. Reckon the retirements of Cotch and Edwards will leave a significant hole....moreso than the retirement of Jack. Go hard on mids at the draft this yr and talls in 2022.
I would also be looking at good quality talls at other clubs that we can poach. Clear precedent (Lever, May, Lynchy etc) we should continue to follow.
