Summed up brilliantly in a newspaper comment.

Right: "I don't like that song and I'm not going to listen to it."
Left: "I don't like that song and you're not going to listen to it."
Im guessing the Hun? The idea that conservative governments don't censor things they dont like is typical right wing nonsense.

Love my live music as much as anyone but it's a damn tragedy what happened at that Travis Scott Astroworld concert in the US this week.
Like many I've been in mosh pits when they surge & you're literally off your feet at the mercy of the crowd's power. Fine line between great fun & very scary stuff.
So sad people lost their lives when they should be having the time of their life.

Watched Bert's funeral today and found myself wanting to rehear a particular hymn which is called Song of Farewell ...... there's something quite magnificent and totally mesmerizing listening to a great choir and it's nothing to do with religion for me.
I suppose I'm just a little jealous how some people can create such beautiful sounds!
Best listened to wearing headphones for those interested

Came across this along the way..... a capella version of a piece of classical music Agnus Dei by Samuel Barber
Wow!

Indeed, I listened to it as an audiobook a few weeks ago. You know there's a FF horror movie coming out?
No, but I imagine I'll avoid it. There's limits, love the music, Dave comes across as a great bloke (so does Taylor Hawkins), but a movie, don't think so.

I love Dave Grohl and he's probably one of the best guys in music and I love Nirvana too. But Foo Fighters must be one the most boring and blandest big bands ever.

You're more of a Michael Bolton man I'm guessing?

Was watching a 2000 interview with The Cars the other day. Just weeks before Ben Orr died.

I didn’t realise Ric Ocasek’s surname is pronounced “Oh - car - seck.” I always pronounced it “Ocker-sek” and everyone else I’ve heard pronounce it has done the same. Wrong all those years. Hmmm.

Was a song writing hit machine Ric. I’m not a big fan or anything but I didnt realise just how many hits/popular songs they had.

Same here. I pronounced "Ocker-sek". I remember Orr passing away but keep forgetting Ric did to a few years ago. 'Tonight she comes' is my fave song.

I hope Dave and his band are doing OK at Pussy Park tonight. Weather is not good but so isn't that ground.....smells like salt.

Yeah he did. 2019 I think ?

Bit of an interesting story there. One of his sons called him a complete and utter *smile* after he died. Another said something similar as did his wife of 20+ years Paulina Prozikova or whatever her name is. The super model chick that was in the Drive video.

Having said that, I think they were all left out of his will.
