Movies

Great White on Amazon Prime, target audience might have been LTRTR and his shark thread. ;)

In all seriousness though, absolute pile of crap, only thing it is good for is making you appreciate how good Jaws was.
One of the great horror movies was Jaws. Despite the fact some effects look rubbery now..those timeless underwater camera angles & John Williams soundtrack are near impossible to beat. Culture changing.

Watched No Time To Die. Insanely long at 2hrs 40. It wasn’t bad but like all the previous Daniel Craig Bond movies it’s pretty forgettable.

Casino Royale (Craig version) was great as a darker more realistic reboot of Bond - well, the poker hands excepted. Skyfall pretty good. The others, meh.

The mechanical shark kept breaking down so the shark was filmed less than originally intended. It turned out to be a blessing as there was more suspense as you don't get a decent look at it until much later in the film.

Just watched 'Red Notice' on Netflix, enjoyable romp.
Ryan Reynolds played himself again, as did Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot easy on the eye.

Recent movies that I've watched and can recommend:
Guardians of the Galaxy, Edge of Tomorrow, Jack Reacher, Calvary, The Guard, and In Bruges.

Just watched Edge of Tomorrow for first time, really enjoyed it.

And enjoyed all the other movies you recommend there, In Bruges is a fav and has some classic scenes and a great turn by Ralph Fiennes.

I haven't seen Calvary but will look it up.

'The Trial Of The Chicago 7'. Netflix.
True story from a 1968 'event' that felt very contemporary in regard to what's going on in this country atm..
Really enjoyed it. Top acting, good script that quoted transcripts from the trail and embellished where necessary.

Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin. Pretty good.

I recently rewatched a favourite Sorkin-penned movie, Charlie Wilson's War. Directed by Mike Nichols, starring Tom Hanks, Phillip Seymour Hoffman in ripping form and Julia Roberts, the true story of one congressman's achievement to arm the Afghanis against the Soviet invasion and force their retreat. Eminently rewatchable.

I don't know it. Good people involved. Will take a look.
Really interesting part of recent history that caused a large ripple effect ...

The movie about Franco Cozzo called palazzo di Cozzo is coming out this week.
For all of us who lived through all the “Norta Melbourne, Brunsawick and Footascray” ads it will be an interesting watch.

Zero interest in watching anything about that prick. I don't give a *smile* how disabled he is. He should be dead.

Yeh, can't imagine how anyone would want to watch it. Sick.
