Irishman Anthony Tohill has quit Collingwood to return to Ireland. The Irish experiment (that's been going for nearly 40 years now) continues to underwhelm.
Nothing wrong with the talent of the kids that come out to play. For some reason the " Go Home " factor is just way to strong for them to hang around.

Bloody perfect timing , but I was talking to a new bloke at work at knock off just yesterday. He's Irish, about 40 ish. Been living in Oz a fair while n usually goes back home around every 18 months or so. Was supposed to go back last year around when Cooties hit n missed out so it's been 3 years since he's been home to visit family n friends n he's struggling with it. Trying to get something organised to get back over Xmas, New Year if there's any way possible.
Must be something mighty fine in the water over there, they struggle to stay afloat away from home.

The Suns have delisted Category B rookie Irishman Luke Towey. The Irish “experiment “ continues to fail.

In the photo @Roksman shared he is wearing soccer kit so I’m guessing he qualifies.
I just posted in another thread but here more appropriate when I google Patrick couldn't find much about him only that he lead the Yellow Card register out of about 50 clubs with 5 :) .

Must have some white line fever, better suited to AFL ;)

Maybe we should get into Will Sutherland's (he's already 22) ear as a potential Cat B rookie. His cricket career is following Alex Keaths.

Reckon the Irish thing is dead. How many success stories the last five years?
