Round 2 - changes to the team. Richmond v GWS

RCD apparently getting over bruised ribs, Stack likely not fit enough and paying penance . . . but Miller. Mystery to me, I reckon we give him a go and see what he can do. So far this year the footy has been fast, and we ain't fast, so maybe a bit of height might help? Who knows, but we need to sort out something a little different to succeed with the current list.

DS
Maybe rewarding George, Ross, Aarts, Hugo & Gibcus for good preseasons. Plus got Tarrant 2 rucks & Balta forward. One loss sees Aarts out. Still no VFL yet. See how they all go. I'm not writing off Stacky or RCD who knows? Long season. Need to see him play again. Gibcus might tire and Miller comes IN. But not good for Miller that Gibcus has gone past him

Put a line through Stack.
How long has he been in the system?
Still can’t get his fitness level up. Lazy.
Really 7? We have high draftees from privileged backgrounds that still do not have the required tank to play AFL after being in the system for yrs. And you want to punt Stackey?

Thought Riley would be a lock, given the absences.
Exit papers must be stamped.
Not really. The reports have been that his ribs aren’t quite right, and they’re going to make sure that they are before including him. It’s similar with the concerns about Stack’s fitness levels.

I’m not sure I buy this. If the ribs aren’t right why play him in the VFL.

Yes, the AFL site confirms.
A major blow.
Like to see Bakes revert to his forte role as HBF, to sandbag our defence.
The Sydney midfielders destroyed GWS last week.
Parker and Heeney scored 8 goals.
GSW had 14-9 marks inside 50 but lost, would be a concern.

Yes, that is right, but Sydney is a better team than us as far as mids go.

Yes, we have lost a lot of talent by injury but our ins all have speed. Just noticed now that Miller is in for Grimes.
We are smaller across the ground, so I guess they will look to pressure and run the ball quicker. This is the main chance to topple GWS.

GWS mids are elite and are good ball users, they ain't the quickest, but give them enough time and they'll cut us up.
Hence why we have to play the pressure game and run hard.

Parker, we know he ain't the best of kicks but f we want to apply that criteria for all players a 3rd of the side wouldn't be playing.
He is in for his speed, aggression and pressure. Last week V blues we had one tackle in forward 50, they had 14. He also plays tall, once stack and RCD get up to speed in fitness I have no doubt they will come in.

Macintosh is a big in and he and Pickett will control the wings, and Dow just attacks the contest, looks quicker and shows more aggression well that's what I saw V cats at GHMBA stadium.

Grimes out hurts our back 6, however, GWS normally play 2 talls, Ricardi and Himmelberg and have Brander and Hogan on the bench. Perhaps they might try and stretch us with Grimes out and play a 3rd tall (enter Hogan).
