Dustin Martin

Pretty sure Dimma said exactly the same thing a short while back without the "my blessing" adjunct. Nothing quote for a nothing story. About as relevant as Hird back in senior coaching contention.

360 dross.

Downside of Dusty not talking to the media is they're free to make up any narrative they want about him. Of course if he did talk to the media there's a good chance they'd twist his words anyway.

Hasn't Dusty toured the Giant$ once before? That time he toured their facilities &couldn't stop talking about the Tiges..they put him straight back on the plane.

Very loyal person is Dusty. He'll have appreciated all our club has given him. I'd be genuinely stunned if he left for another club now.
He's not a showman like Franklin who'll market the club. Heck he doesn't even like the media.

That comment was about Dusty potentially retiring not playing for another club.

How do you reckon Blair Hartley feels about the comment?

When Sydney roll up with a 2nd rounder for Dusty at the end of the year and Blair asks if that's a joke? Kinnear Beatson reminds Blair that Dimma is happy for Dusty to leave if he wants to go and won't stand in his way. Difficult for Blair to convince Sydney that Dimma's view is not the club position.

Dimma has thrown a few people under the bus this week with his stupid comments.

Theres no upside anywhere you care to look,

In dusty not playing for richmond.

The concept is emotionally, spiritually, culturally, financially, philosophically, empirically,

Bankrupt.

Things of this type dont happen in fairy tales.

Buddy left the hawks, gaz j left the cats, *smile* even plugger left the saints. It can happen, and if it does we must look to the upsides.

Hope he stays.

For me the 4 goals in the 2020 GF remain the greatest example of his genius. I could watch them on a loop for a week. Every one different but each showcasing the brilliance and talent of the man.

The last goal is my favourite, I reckon he plots the interception moments after Stanley takes possession. He tracks him not to tackle but to steal. And then beats the tackle of the cats talisman - the prancing, chesty, clanger prone nonce known as "danger". That missed, diving, stretching, scraping but ultimately fruitless tackle is a great metaphor for clangers career.

He's provided me with my greatest joy in football, I always thought Richo would remain that man. If dusty goes they will remain.

Dusty is more likely to retire than go to another club IMO. Especially after walking away from the game earlier this year after grieving for his Dad.
He struggled for motivation in 2018 too before a reset. I just can't see him starting again somewhere else post 30. What does he gain from that?

Not sure if you’re being condescending, hard to tell online, sounds like it. Pretty poor.

All I’m saying is if he wants to go, what other option do we have other than look to the future.

Spot on TOO. Dusty leaving for another club is the medias wet dream. When they wake up it will be a nightmare because he will finish as a one club player.

The media will go into absolute meltdown when Dusty refuses to talk to the media after winning his fourth Norm Smith.
