in this instance De Goey and the other 2 are guilty of being stupid young men. 2 of them are young and should be told to stop being stupid. the other is just stupid- not sure what anyone can do to help him, but clubs will rightly be wary that next time he might do something that isnt just dumb, and will again lead him to trouble.
DeGooey tried to expose his lady friends breast without her permission in public. Whether or not she was fine with it or not doesn't matter in today's climate. It's all about consent.
Ginn and Quaynor I think it's just a case of shrapnel. They were just distasteful, but again it's the current climate. You can't say these types of things in regards to women without attracting negative analysis. Rightly so I would say.
And if the so called "influencer" had pressed charges against De Goey, with his 2 previous inappropriate sexual indiscretions he'd be in Kerobokan Prison, or out on bail.

I'd be warning every player to stay away from social media or being filmed. They're young men & near all will do dumb things.

We really need one of those fact checker things Facebook has when someone posts about Covid on here.
Shai Bolton didn't get fined for 'standing up for a woman'. He didn't even throw a punch in that scuffle, he was just rag dolled into a wall and broke his wrist. If that was the end of it he wouldn't have been fined, same as Rioli wasn't.
He was fined because of what he did after that, refusing to leave a venue, re-entering a venue after being ejected, making threats, trying to start further fights, refusing to leave the front of the venue and so on.
I asked my kids about this and apparently it is a game on Tiktok where someone invents an imaginary scenario about a person's looks vs another social status and then they adjust the original rating accordingly.
Ie, she is a 10 but barracks for Collingwood. To which someone might reply 2.
So it's not as bad as doing it to real people obviously, but it is still sending a message to all their young fans that your worth as a person is basically about what you look like and your status rather than the content of your character.
In my opinion, sportspeople generating large incomes from public interest need to be better than that.
Yep - and presumably they’ve all have sat through sessions where all these possibilities are discussed - including the possibility of caught out by anyone in their vicinity with a phone.
They'll surely have been warned/counselled about the ramifications of being caught out. Yet they still got caught out.
It is even dumber than dumb to still do dumb things after being educated in dumbness.
