Kane Lambert

Every time we needed to lift he came through.
Our opposition underrated Kane for so long and they paid for it. That Port game will ever live in my memory.
Thank you Kane, al the best for the future.

BTW Great farewell speech too.
He was underrated by so many and it gave us an advantage so many times. What did amaze me was even the scribes and callers failed to see what Kane gave us and football in general during his playing career

I have no doubt that if Kane had been able to play at his best in the last 6 games, we'd be on top of the ladder now.

That's how important he is/was to us.

Thanks Kane you are a champion.:cupgold:cupgold:cupgold

Knowing it was coming didn’t make it easier. What an absolute legend of the club.

I’ll add my voice to the calls of “keep him”. Just find a way, Richmond.

Gutted.
Feel like I’ve lost a close friend.
Loved seeing him play in Richmond colours. The sort of pride and comfort I felt from past champions like Merv Kean and Paul Broderick. Just knew you were in safe hands with him.
Legend.

The first thing that video screams, thats a coach talking right there. Will coach a senior AFL club, nothing surer.

Must stay at the club beyond this year. The bond between him and Shorty, I didn’t expect that emotion. Lamberts a father figure/big brother mentor. ”Swallowed a radio” that’s something your Dad says.

And finally, the way Lambert spoke of wanting to play for Dimma and the way Dimma was looking back at Lambert, he’s still the guy to be leading us. Incredible 19 minute insight into why we won three flags.

Brilliant career & thank you for being part of a special group that delivered success & achievement that most of us didn’t think we’d live see.

Hard work, dedication & undoubted talent to be the best footballer & person you could be. I very much hope an RFC coaching role awaits. Fantastic speech to the group & media to bring a curtain down on this part of your footy journey - plenty more to come though.

We all saw it coming but gee this one hurts. What a fantastic speech, so full of gratitude.
What an unlikely superstar he became, incredible drive and commitment.
I hope he can stick around in some capacity, we'll be blessed to have a little bit of him rub off on the next generation coming through.
Thanks for the memories, without a doubt the loudest buzz I've ever felt at a game was THAT goal in the 2017 PF.

Its come quick for the TIgers who are now bleeding quality leaders and men out the door.

Unfortunately it happens at all successful clubs but the loss is certainly being felt at the RFC.

Rance, Houli, Dave, Grigg, Caddy, Lambert and most likely Shane to join them. Brandon also was a Richmond Man.

Then even more pertinant - Leppa, Fly, Caracella and Rutten.

Kingsley will be targeted next

A very sad day, a great Richmond man, and role model.

I'll take the roar of the crowd when he kicked the 1st goal against GWS in the 2017 preliminary final to my grave.

That farewell speech was just brilliant. A great insight into the inner sanctum of the club. What a leader he has been.
