CH-CH-CH-CH-CHANGES for the Bears

From my observation this year. Although I have not followed him closely he is one of their quickest defenders in a defence that lacks leg speed

Component and normally does the job assigned to him

Gut feel says Edwards was very much part of him being dropped. He has 3 premierships and would have known one of Ross or Sonsie would have made way for Martin. Would have walked into Dimmas office to sacrifice his position in the team to make sure one of the young guys don’t miss out

and I reckon Dimma would have said "*smile* That, this is finals, I pick the best team I can"

Shedda will come in once the heat has gone out of the game & work his magic.
Yep.

Until they put in some actual rules around the sub, we'd be crazy not to use it tactically.

And if we have to use it for an injury, there's no one better that Edwards to fill a gap.

Probably why they are debuting Darcy Wilmot, (1st year draftee), who is a dashing half back, (hopefully no Marlion type debut).

No I don't think so. Edwards was the most logical considering Dusty will be very unlikely to play much midfield time.

Well he's got it wrong. RFC app confirming George is out and not an emergency plus medi sub not announced until an hour before the game.
Gotta love that Tom Browneye bloke. Chief football reporter for the AFL's footy partner channel 7 n he's got no *smile* idea what's going on. Struggles to speak Anglaise as well.

Great team selection - minimal changes brings a settled team.

Fascinating to see how our rebuild goes under the heat of finals - I am as much interested in seeing how our younger players go as I am to watching Dusty return. This must be a young finals side - surely the youngest of the other 7 teams still in it and I wonder how it compares to other finalists - our 67 side would have been pretty young.

I reckon Graham’s injury didn’t come up otherwise he would be playing - we will miss him no
doubt.

Shed to be sub is the obvious choice.

Lions have nothing to lose, back to the wall, all the pressure on them - this is going to be a massive slog for us as the lions will throw the kitchen sink at us - I don’t buy the favourites tag, big 50:50 game coming up.

I thought that 1 hour before the game:
Any of the selected 26 can be named in the final 22
Any of the selected 26 can be named as medisub ( doesn’t have to be an emergency to be medisub)
So George is the only true omission at this stage as he’s not in the 26.

If this is wrong I’d like to thank the AFL for making it so confusing.

Not that young on average, yott. Some young players but plenty of experience. Average age of 26y7m, compared to Brisbane 26y1m.

No other teams names yet but here's their averages in R23:
Geesook - 27y9m (they'll get older when they bring back Duncan and maybe one or two others)
Collingwood - 26y0m
Melbourne 25y10m
Sydney - 25y8m
Dogs 25y6m
Freo 25y0m

So odds are we'll actually be the second-oldest side on average! (Median age might be a different story.)

Sydney, Melbourne and probably Collingwood and Freo be younger than us ILO.

We are still very experienced outside the younger 6.

Only guessing though. Someone will be able to find out.

Edit - Spook the Nerd already answered.
