The Geelong Cants

How's the unbelievable arrogance of Dangerfield?!?!

He could have hurt me! It's dangerous! Let's take it further!

Yet zero remorse, recognition or penalty for a King hit elbow to the face of Vlastuin.

I hope he never gets a premiership. And his arm falls completely off in the prelim.
Forgets about the deliberate 2 action contact to Tiggas chin in the GF .... f* arse clown.

I havent been able to post all day since reading about what he said.
He has to seriously be the biggest shithead ever. Well... together with his coach and captain.
I love all the BF posters and tweets showing all his dangerous tackles and that of his captain.

What it tells you is just how entitled and superior he and his club have become over these last few years as the Geelong-owned and Geelong-saturated media drool over them, as they accumulate undeserved All Australians and the PR machine is as hyped up as Fox's support of Trump.

Geelong are disappointed with the decision of Hopper wanting to Join Richmond and now will switch there attention to Daniel Hannebury & Josh Kennedy.
Not everyone in the AFL world likes living on a potatoe farm and playing at a 25000 seat stadium.
What's 500k & 5yrs gets you??

I've been of the firm opinion that Geelongs runs of success will peter out, even though it has been very well managed and long in comparative and historical terms. Good management has been required to pull it off, and they have drafted well, but they have had a run of extremely good fortune with father-sons, Hawkins and Ablett, and western district/ local superstars who will play for lower wages, Danger and Cameron. Normally a side needs to bottom out to get 2 generational players like these, like us with Dusty and Cotch, but they didn't, twice.

Nothing lasts forever, and Hopper baulking at Geelong due to them not being able to match us with their touted 'salary-cap model', read farmboy factor, is the first sign of the beginning of the end of the golden run. If their farmboy factor stops being a factor, they'll ditch it pronto and drift back to the pack.

That *smile* peanut Barrett went on about this in his stupid sliding doors column. Reckons Geelong won't be concerned in the least about missing out on Hopper; they will just find a cheaper version. Yeah right  Then said that Taranto and Hopper will fix our midfield but we will then have no money to fix our forward line and back line.

These arsehats just can not deal with a successful Richmond. It drives them coco bananas. They will find any little way to have a dig. Yet they fawn over their darling Geelong, a team that has won zero flags in the last 10 years.

How many of them called out *smile*-field over his hypocrisy in bagging Ginnivan this week?? Where was your duty of care to Vlastuin?? Where was Tom Stewart's duty of care to Prestia?? All we heard from him was how great a bloke Tom Stewart is and how sorry they all felt for him.

This current Geelong group is probably the biggest bunch of *smile* the game has ever seen.

The media love for Geelong is sickening - they are in a league of their own in that regard. ABG in these finals!

See Whingerflog on the news complaining about a tackle from Ginnivan from last Saturday’s game where he held one of the peacock’s arms when he tackled him to the ground. The peacock has the temerity to be complaining that the players need to use a level of care when tackling their opponents. All stated with a hang dog look on his face.
Someone should send him videos of his two on purpose dog acts on Vlastuin and the young Crows player where he showed no care at all for his opponents and zero remorse. Let’s also not mention his mate’s ironing out of Prestia this year.
He really is a narcissist of the highest order. Not even aware of his own actions whilst having a sook over a bloody pretty standard tackle from an opponent he had sniped at in the media the day before the game.
Speechless on how entitled this prick and his mates are from down the highway.
Drinks his own bathwater.

I can understand concern about our forwardline, but our backline currently includes 2 of the best young KPDs in the league, (Balta and Gibcus) 2 gun young(ish) smalls (Rioli and Baker) plus Grimes, Broad and Vlastuin all returning. Grimes has a year or 2 left, then a couple more for Broad then another year or 2 for Vlastuin. Our backline, personnel wise, looks brillant for a while yet.

We had the highest scoring team this year so the forward is not so bad. But yes we do need to look beyond Jack and Lynch for our next KPFs. Not sure where they are coming from. There seems to be a lot of hope being pinned on a mid season draft selection that isn't built like a key forward.

Meow.
I reckon Sydney will slap them in the GF
Found it difficult watching any footy after last Thursday. Slinked into my cave and stayed there with a few bottles of red.

But yes...do not want the Cats or Go Dees to win.

Swannies for me as well!

ABG for me.

But for the sake of the exercise I would have them in this order of preference to win the flag:

Fremantle (no chance)
Swans
Lions (no chance)
Go Dees
Scumwood (little chance)
Geewhinge

Yep, as long as we have Lynch fit and healthy our forward line looks great too, post Lynch is where the planning needs to be. (As Jack fades, a tall forward combo of Lynch and Miller (or Bauer/Ryan) will hopefully cut it.)
