Essendon = Entitlement

Interviewing Hird?

Too absurd to be true.

Even beyond AFL debarcability.

So the smoke is clearing and the mirrors turned down leaving ol Jabby Jimmy putting his hand up and martyring himself to take on the job after the EFC basically put off any other aspirants by the looks of things from where I'm sitting.

What a narcissistic delusional egomaniac prick he is.,.

The agenda was always Jabby Jimmy, from well before Truck was arsseholed out. Jimmy was already well on the way to being red carpeted back in.

Sheedys been pushing it, now we've had the BS 3 ringed dog and pony show (so called PROCESS!!) that was so convoluted that it turned off senior aspirants like Ross Lyon, Clarko, Cameron and Scott.

All deliberately designed for Jabby Jimmy to make a seamless transition back into the joint at the behest of the Coteries.

What a bunch of scumbags, that hive of shithousery just sinks lower by the day.

If the AFL was serious he'd be banned for life from coaching and bringing the integrity (of which there is none anyway) and the game into disrepute for drug cheating , tampering and basically lying.

What a sham of an organization the AFL is.

The application for the job is obviously like the one that circulated when Grant Thomas got the Saints job. There’s one question:
Is your name James Hird?
Yes/No.

I know we all get massive lols from the train wreck that is the Bombers however, the AFL should not let Hird coach again.

They step in and interfere on other matters, surely they stop a guy who disgraced the competition as a result of overseeing a systematic doping program, from ever coaching again. What he put those players through is a disgrace and the competition will be even further tarnished if they allow Essendon to appoint him as senior coach again.

The fact they even interviewed him again beggars belief.

Is this story about attempting suicide in 2017 true or just mayo for the sympathisers?

It’ll sadden me if Essington ever truly get their act together.

I hope they stay true to their inner factions and keep Sheedy in their inner circle forever.

This is probably more true than people realise. I thought Carlton was bad with their nostalgic revisionism. The bombers are off the planet.

TBH I reckon one of two things have happened:

A) bombers are running a faux process and have one person in mind
B) bombers are running a faux process and have one person in mind
C) all of the above

Why would anyone want to go there? Seriously. The off TPP deals must be insane

Yep bringing the game into disrepute should automatically disqualify him from ever coaching in the AFL again.
He said that “He took full responsibility” for what had happened in the initial press conference.

What else do you want from him?

I thought their coach selection panel was a joke from the beginning.

This is a boat race and the selection panel is only there to try to make it look legitimate.

You can hear them now “after an extensive search, many candidates and an exhaustive interview process JAMES HIRD has been appointed as the senior coach of the Essendon fc”

I love it.

Great to see the bloke healthy, great to see him putting his hand up for the job.

Hope he gets it and does really well, for the first time ever I'll be hoping Essendon wins against the 16 other teams, and finishes runner-up.

If only.

I hope the Tiges have already started planting seeds in Draper’s mind for a few years down the track.

At the personal level, it's good to see Hird has his groove back. For one, I think he's paid a heavy price for some stupid decisions, including a dispiriting and mal-advised tactic of relentless denial. The public has extracted its pound of flesh.

From a club point of view, entertaining the return of Hird borders on scarcely believable boneheadedness. He hardly set the world alight as a senior coach all those years ago and has been in the football wilderness ever since. The negative attention this will place upon the club will be relentless. It further underlines the weird, insular nature of the place. Was the 'process' always going to have this inevitable conclusion? With Sheedy involved, suspicions are aroused.

Pyke, Leppitsch, Solomon, Scott, Yze, McVeigh, Giansiracusa ... and this is where they land?

If Hird is the answer, what the hell is the question?

Yeh.
Hopefully players injected with god knows what & their partners too scared to start families feel the same.
