Interesting re Fly

Collingwood finished 2018 in 3rd and lost GF. Then finished 4th in 2019 and 8th in 2020

2021 was the "get rid of Buckley and finish low to get Daicos" year and they fell to 17th

Fly takes over and they rebound.

2023 will be interesting with expectations high

Does anyone know what the Richmond Cheer Squad electoral candidate did at the PF to have to withdraw from the CS election? Was it just GFC clobber or something more racy?

From the CS:
'the manner in which he was seen dressed and passionately supporting Geelong has drawn a lot of criticism from our members.
No breach in Cheer Squad rules has occurred and what he does outside of the Richmond Cheer Squad or who he associates with is not a concern of the committee. However this is not the behaviour that is expected of someone standing for election on the Cheer Squad committee and representing the Richmond Football Club.'

It is seen as unacceptable to be openly cheering on an opposition Club in such a manner. For mine we all claim to be the biggest supporter base in the land & it was embarrassing to have opposition fans pointing this out. This is just my personal point of view.

Zig's just great drafting by Cat's, Draft Central had Holmes late to rookie pick, was probably not high on other clubs radars but Cat's obviously liked him that much or got a sniff that someone else was interested and came to us for the for the 1st round pick swap. No-one can really complain that we should have taken him instead, can't remember him being discussed in the draft thread pre-draft.

DRAFT PROJECTION: Late-Rookie

Holmes remains a rookie-type prospect and fits that bill perfectly as a player who still has plenty of development left in him. Clubs keen on his athleticism and upside could see him as a project player who proves too hard to refuse, but others will want to see him run out a full season at NAB League or state league level. Should his chance not come this year, Holmes looks likely to be given ample opportunity to prove his worth at a good standard of competition, so should remain on the radar. His experience and pedigree in high performance sports should also bode well for a smooth transition into meeting AFL standards, which is an important box to tick.

I probably won't be able to get a read in pre-season if he has improved as he looked a ripper in pre-season this year in circle work but was a bit lacking in games.
Only his first year so I look forward to what next season brings.

Tactics: Geelong are in a rhythm . The best way to break their rhythm is early in the first quarter by downing two to three players.

Dangerfield would be my first choice as he is so desperate for a flag.A couple of nicely placed bumps early would rattle him.
Same for a confidence player in Miers.And finally a nicely aimed tackle causing a corked thigh for Hawkins would definitely make things interesting.

Meh just knock em out like they did to Tigga and Dion.
