Pick 53: Jack Graham

Clubs don't have to say anything these days.
The player managers are the ones that feed the players.
Hey Jack, Adelaide called more money more years u interested??
Contacts these days mean nothing
Players get promised more opportunities, more money, more security etc and then they ask the club if they can move. But in orther cases like Jared Polec who is sitting back earning 700k doing sweet FA and earning 700k Nth can't get rid of him and he isn't walking away from 700k
He is the king.
There is nothing here that suggests the Club has asked him to look elsewhere...

So I take pick 7 & then bundle that with 12, I give that to West Coast who thank me & take Busslinger & Hewett, I then pick Cadman who is overlooked by the Kangas because they are caught up in the Clarkson scandal. Taranto comes for next year's first & Hopper comes for 19 & Soldo. Hardwick then comes over & thanks me for addressing the shortfall in forwards, Cadman spends a year with Jack to cut his teeth.

If that's bedlam then sign me up! If you can't trim the fat to make that work then it's a missed opportunity in my view. If you're not exploring options like moving Castagna or someone peripheral then you are not seeing the big picture. In two years the club might be in a pickle with Lynch & Jack on the verge of retirement. This topic doesn't just disappear because the club has a midfield shortfall. Bowes is potentially Mr Fixit, a free kick so to speak. There is a god if Clarke responds in kind.
If Dimma is thanking you that means you are now part of our recruiting team, good to see ;)

JG is approaching a real fotk in the road in his career , in 12m he’s off contract with 5 good years earning capacity ,,,not sure he’d attract anything too silly ,,,500 may max it . I’m not convinced in same way we were with Brando that we’d value him at that market rate . That would be why his eyes are wide open should a juicy contract be tabled

Jesus Christ.
I read that too.
WTF is it with JURNOSE who domt know language.
This Sam bloke is definitely an infamous *smile*.
Stop with the needless put downs when talking about richmond.
You don't do it with other clubs so *smile* off Sam.

A lot of interest in Jack. would be a highly valued player in a lot of clubs. could set himself up with a 5-year contract x $5-600k

Thing with Jack Graham, and the reason I would like to keep him, is that the brilliant players in the middle can only cut loose if they have players like Graham who have their back. You need a balance of guns in the centre who can grab the ball and get it forward, but you also need someone in there who can put pressure on the opposition when it doesn't come off. Plus, if Graham can get a decent run with injuries he can develop into a centre who can get his own ball as well as play a defensive role.

I'm sure there is space in the rotations for Graham even if Tarranto and Hopper are there.

Yes, but Jack Graham may feel a juicy 5-year deal and Guaranteed midfield time is good for his future.

Maybe if Jack asks for a trade we just say “no sorry Fridge your under contract and we’ll have a look in 12 months if you want to go home then, enjoy Bali “

I for one hope we keep Fridge, embodies everything a Richmond man should be. Also I just can't handle letting him go while he is on 97 games. And to boot he is a very reliable shot at goal, might actually be our best apart from Dusty.

I hope Jack stays.......he's a Richmond man.

TIGERS STAR BACKS TEAMMATE TO STAY

Richmond star Jack Riewoldt says the club needs to hang on to teammate Jack Graham, despite rumours rivals are circling.

With GWS duo Jacob Hopper and Tim Taranto trying to land at Tigerland for 2023 and beyond, there’s fears the additions could force a selection squeeze.

And one player who could get caught up is Graham.

Already with the likes of Dustin Martin, Shai Bolton and Dion Prestia playing mid-forward and Trent Cotchin going on for another season, the new Giants duo could cause some selection headaches.

But Riewoldt believes there’s enough room for Graham to stay – and he hopes he does as he sees the 24-year-old as a potential future captain.

“I firmly believe that Jack Graham is going to be a very good player for us going forward,” Riewoldt told SEN Tassie.

“Fridge, that’s his nickname, he can play anywhere. It’s just finding the right balance of those inside mids.

“I would be absolutely flat (if he left).

“He is a great person, and a player we firmly believe could be a good leader – possible captain material.”

Graham was recruited by the Tigers from South Australia and was already a two-time premiership player by the age of 22.

When going through the draft process, Graham was once likened to a young Luke Hodge and infamously played in a grand final in just his fifth AFL game after playing a starring role for Richmond late in his 2017 debut season.

Earlier this week, Sam Edmund reported Graham was “gettable” by rivals if an attractive offer was presented.

Graham still has one more year to run on his Richmond deal.

They'll throw any *smile* name in the mix.
