I would much prefer Jack to Hopper. If it was a straight swap I simply wouldn’t consider it. It could cost us a lot more than money.

Jack Graham that is.

Still not sure how I feel on this situation if Graham leaves.
Sure he’s not a elite player and never will be but we have a history of letting guys go for unders and I don’t think we should let him go for that.

Even if we ended up getting Taranto and Hopper, if Graham is leaving we still end up pretty bare in that area.

8.2 for the year. 40.17 career. Very good kick for goal. Arguably our most reliable set shot.

Hope he stays - listening to Hardwick and Nank at the BnF - Graham symbolises all they were talking about. I know he gets injured but he goes so hard, and chases and chases. He has a Tiger spirituality about him. No nonsense, no ego, tough, tradesman

That would greatly favour Hawthorn Geelong and Richmond. Mmmm.

I'm ok with that. If you've been successful enough to be a life member of a footy club and be involved in their significant history, then your kids have the right to decide on if they play for you. Take Marlions kids, it would feel wrong that we wouldn't get 1st access to them.

I don't want him to leave. Full stop. We need mid depth firstly and I think losing him after getting hopper and Taranto would be weaken an area we are really targeting. You can't expect Sonsie to step up in yr 2 or Ross finished season well but is that enough of a sample size to say he goes another level again? In addition, Graham sacrifices his game for the team, does the hard stuff and to me is just a Richmond man. Would hate to see him in teal. He is worth more to us then them anyway. I can't see how he isn't part of the mid rotation going fwd even with the additions. I think our team would be weaker for it. Already a life member but 100 games would show that he belongs too in our family. Hope he stays but geez there is a lot of noise here saying otherwise.

Demand pick #8 or he stays and completes his contract with 2 years left

Graham is more valuable to Richmond in the next 2 years than a pick 20-25

We are trading in Taranto & Hopper to win a premiership and need midfield quality and depth

Graham is a ready Lambert replacement and an experienced player with leadership

Jack Graham will still be worth similar min pick 25-30 in 2 years time when he is out of contract and a free agent

Jesus port Adelaide must really like Graham

Had their big guns out showing him around and even went to the extent to find a player Jack had played with as a junior to convince him to come.

JG will likely be on $450k+ at Richmond so my thinking is they will be paying him $600k-$650k x 5 years to move him and give up free agency

Demand pick #8

Best deal Graham+#30 for pick #8

Port are desperate and will pay up

Hard to say whether our coaches have ever given Jack full licence to just hunt the pill, but in the pretty solid body of evidence so far he hasn’t shown much ability to win contested ball when we need him to.

I’m thinking we will approach 2023 with a much more aggressive mindset in midfield - less containment, more contest.

I appreciate some of the arguments on here, they’ve been good ones. But a man like Jack Graham doesn’t just up and tour Alberton for no reason.

RFC may want him to stay (I want him to stay), but our recruiting strategy speaks volumes.

Pick 30 and Graham for pick 8?

Too much, too little?

FWIW someone on Bigfooty stated that Jack would be around pick 29 in points value for this proposed trade.
