Changes v Skunks

It will be interesting to see if "hamstring awareness" hampers Lynch's mobility around the forward line or restricts any long searching leads on Friday night.
Dusty was reported as hamstring awareness, the Lynchman was reported as a corky. Get the bruising down n he should be o.k. Lynchman trying to get rolling through a hammy tweak would be a recipe for disaster.

Looking at what we are going to miss most this week, we need foot skills and an ability to use the ball inside 50.

Hopper, Martin and Short are three of our top 5 inside 50 entry players, Short and Hopper rank highly in goal assists and Short in score involvements.

Going into the game with minimal expectations Friday. So long as we don't cop a belting this week. I'll be o.k. with the result. Dusty, Grasshopper, Shorty n Broad out simply means we get the perfect opportunity to put a big game, big crowd, big atmosphere into some more of our youngsters. The future is coming hard n we need to find the youngsters who'll help take us there.

On the weekend Pies average age was 27y 38 days, Richmond 27 y 172 days.
Not much difference. Pies are a lot older than people think. And that's without Howe at 32 missing.

Over 30 - Pies 5, Tigers 7
Between 25-29 - Pies 11, Tigers 10.
24 and Under - Pies 7, Tigers - 6.

Pies had 4 at 29, Richmond 1 - All four of the Pies will be 30 in 6 months time, so 9 of them will be over 30 next year.

Missing Martin 31, Broad 29, Short 27 and Hopper 26 the replacements all likely a few years younger, we're probably going into the game a bit younger than them.

Good research Jerry.

I think our backs are against the wall this week. As such, to me it's a no lose game. We should just try something new, or someone new, rather than be conservative.

Agreed

Pies are red hot and in form , We can afford to drop this game and get our players like Dusty , Hopper , Tarrant fit and healthy and primed for a win against the bulldogs

Back in june 2019 we got belted by Geelong 104-37
we all know how 2019 ended

Lose this battle but win the war

Hopper and Taranto don’t look to have the same footskills as Martin, Short indeed most of the rest of the team.
Have seen Hopper use his left only once and Taranto not at all.
Both hard and good at getting it but hoping to see some improved ball use from at least Taranto tomorrow night.

What we really need to do is play the whole 4 quarters out. I doubt we’ll win no matter what, but doing that will at least set us up better for the rest of the season.

B: Grimes Balta Young
HB: Prince Tigga Bakes
C: Marlion TT KMac
HF: Shai Lynch Graham
F: Jack Samson MoJu
R: Nank Chimp Dion
I: Biggie Clarke Ross Sonz
S: Mansell

Maybe Sonz sub, depending how ready to go he is.
That gives us our best chance all things considered. Biggie to get experience and just be let loose, run and jump at everything. No rules, see ball, get ball.

Im genuinely astonished at the no-chance narrative.
