Changes vs Port Adelaide

Baker as a mid this week i like it hes wasted in the forward line rather see juddy clarke in up there more a natural goal kicker. Hoping lefou gets his chance as sub this week i feel if were getting slaughtered back we can throw him forward for a half and sub out mj early with his 1 tackle and 2 disposals at half time. And throw balta back

What Spook said.

Ross in the guts and Banks on a wing.

Shai replaces Hopper on ball and Clarke to the half forward line.
I like Ross, but i just dont see him as a CB midfielder. Running in space is his best attribute. Maybe he plays as a HFF, who becomes the extra mid.
Pickett is the better option.

We will be looking at a midfield rotation of Taranto, Bolton, Dusty, Baker and then maybe Pickett/Ross and hopefully MRJr for some bursts. The starting quality is there, but it's looking a little light.

Name me recent successful teams that have 2 forwards playing week in-week out with this output.
They have to be able to kick bags when their turn comes - see Jack Higgins tonight, the little Pies bloke in the GF etc
We can’t carry two blokes in the fwd line with goals as a ‘bonus’ who never damage the opposition on the scoreboard.
Like i said we have very different views obviously. Lets see how much patience the MC has
These were not my views, I was outlining how the MC view differs from yours. Perhaps go back and read my post again. Both players selected again this week as defensive forwards. Shai's job is to kick bags of goals, Dusty's, Lynch's and even Balta's. Nobody in their right mind is expecting MRJ or Mansell to kick a bag of goals, yet they keep getting selected. So they're not being selected to kick bags of goals. You're coming at this from the wrong angle imo.

Same here. Needs more time than others (just like some school kids) and 1st game under Ooze. We need his pace.

El Nino in the last 2 months has blown away all the rain with the grass and soil going yellow and hard. Could be the reason for many injuries especially the knee. Come back rain!!!

Gibcus, Young, Broad missing from the backline. Prestia and Hopper out of the midfield. On paper, that's disastrous.

But games of footy aren't played on paper. We're going to learn something about the character of the team this weekend.

FFS, we cannot buy a trick. 5 of our best 22 out for who knows how long. After enjoying great pre-seasons.

Broady is the biggest out for mine. Assume Dow stays in for sure now.

Was super confident but this makes it much tougher.

Questionable Selection has continued on from 2023 despite a new coaching group.
