Game Day - Tiges V Eagles

That as pretty terrible, and quite frankly, hard to watch. What is more concerning is not how bad we were today, but how bad we’re going to get.

Lot of criticism of our strength and conditioning but drafting is far and away a bigger problem and has been for years.

Our kids are not alright.

Very disappointing but not wholly unexpected given the outs.

The interesting thing about the stats is that we had 40 inside 50s and scored 20 times. We had 17 marks inside 50. Despite some poor performers our forward line really was not the issue.

We were smashed in clearances, smashed in the contested possessions and consequently the ball spent most of the time at the other end. 36 to 13 inside 50s in the 2nd half.

We have very few troups to call on for a while. Going to be a tough year

Think there are a few that fall in love with some players due to the “ romance “ of a good story
Clearly there are many who aren’t up to
and are now exposed that a few have retired and there are a few who are injured
Today just proved that those outside our best 22 when there ain’t any injuries aren’t up to it
Look at Ralpsmith , ball in dispute in D50 and he wants to tap the ball as he doesn’t want to cop a hit
You cannot play footy like that
Players who miss easy shots weekly shouldn’t play either
West Coast drill them outside F50
We miss 25m out
At least 10 players had a decent crack
Would think those who did put in today would be pretty dirty on their teammates who didn’t

I'm not saying its been optimal, but we haven't had any decent picks for years, its the core, basic, structural issue.

Where was Chris Newman in the 3rd q?
Wasn’t in the coaches box!

Got this photo from one of security guys.
Newman left this in the bathroom

We need bigger bodies with pace around the ball.
Was a bit shocked that we seemed to match up Reid and Yeo with Graham and Dow. No speed and Dow is not a physical player. I love Baker but he's not big enough. Thought the situation was crying out for MRJ and Pickett in there when things started to go pear shaped.

How many times did we handball blindly over the head in that second half in panic and fear of getting hit. Almost felt like it was a directive.

Mcauliffe stuck at it and had a couple of good moments. Effectively his first game
