Basketball

Thought exactly the same.

Travers been outstanding for United this season. Offers more than Goulding and Delly.
Blood oath. His play making work this season easily translates to a higher level. His defensive work is exceptional- way above McVeigh (although I do think he’s earned his spot), Goulding and company. He’s patient and not in a hurry to impress. Perfect role player.

He'd be the first bloke I'd pick from the NBL.

An athletic guard that rebounds like a machine. So valuable.

I guess he's competing for the same role as Exum, Thybulle.

McVeigh rightly getting rewarded for an incredible championship series, but I'm taking LT every day of the week.

Good news on the Aussie women’s front- three drafted to the WNBA. Pouch and Borlese will have long careers - special players both of them.

Team USA locked and loaded. Amazing array of talent on paper. Absolute favourites for Gold - but stranger things have happened than if they end up with a minor medal. It is Paris after all - their minds might not be on the job.

USA starting five: Curry, Booker, Durant, LeBron, Embid. Ridiculous. Back-up five: Haliburton, Edwards, Tatum, Leonard, Davis. Nuts. Rivals the original 1992 Dream Team - probably better.

Don’t know how I missed this but a few weeks back our National U18 side The Emus won the prestigious Albert Schweitzer tournament in Germany. They defeated Serbia in the final. 7’3 Rocco Zikarski won the tournament MVP - he will be another Aussie first selection in the 2025 NBA draft. Jacob Furphy - no relation to Johnny - starred as did anothe NBA prospect Roman Siulepa. Good times ahead.

Embiid & the 76ers crash out early again.
For all the *smile* Simmons has copped after that loss a few years ago, they've still won F all.

Yep my Sixers have done SFA. Need a reliable third wheel to get it done. They’ll have cap space and picks to play with in the offseason - but they’d better get it right. Reckon Embid’s got only a few top shelf seasons left in him. If that.

Just can't like Embiid, the whole stepping on ppl doesn't help either...

Happy for the 6ers to have bitten the dust and the Knicks to move. :D

Harris had a shocker yesterday (0). He'll be gone. Their roster definitely needs work if they are to go anywhere.

What is Simmons' play-off win % without Embiid?
Embiid's play off stats are something like 33pts, 10 rebounds and 5 assists per game, while playing great defence. And suffering Bells Palsy.

The 6ers had a injury run to rival Richmond's this year, which led to a 7th place. (& the reffing which cost them game 2 was Richmond like as well). The Knicks are a serious team.

And yes Harris stunk it up in the teams biggest game of the year- after playing 1 of his best the game before.

While disappointing to lose in the 1st round, I don't think the season should be looked at as a disaster. ( unlike the last couple)
