Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
I'm informed that this draft in November will be the first one in years without a priority pick, pre listed players or mini draft kids missing , or draft pick concessions. And provided there are no further draft penalties, it will be all 18 teams in reverse ladder order.
It was a long time coming

Sad to say, I think the Suns and GWS still have some leftover compensation picks this year as they obviously need more top young talent.

Does that equate to a big incentive to tank win the wooden spoon?

Gold Coast still have 2 x 1st round compo picks (1 for Ablett R1 selection and another end of 1st round pick).

They also have a 3rd round compo pick it got from West Coast last year which GC banked.

Not sure if GWS or any other clubs have banked picks but GC could have a really nice top up at seasons end with another 3 x 1st rounders.

The Suns will show on-field this year that no further assistance is required I reckon ::) 3 first rounders to a side that could well play finals this year. Fingers crossed we have pick 18 before subsidies and its a draft brimming with slow, uncoordinated midgets.

It looks like the Suns are the only ones with banked picks: they have three to use by 2015

1) first round pick attached to Geelong's finishing position (The Suns have to guess if the Cats are going to miss the finals this year or next)
2) They also have an end of first rounder
3) and an end of third rounder

But none of these will affect the top 10 or so picks

Check your maths. If the Cats dont make the 8, the GC compo pick certainly effects the top 10 picks.

Saints must have been wondering why they bothered packing the bus for the trip, might just as well have stayed home n avoided the bruises.
Thinking the Saints, Brisvegas n GWS will battle out the trifecta this year with the Dees to possibly elevate themselves just a smidgin. No surprise if this lot struggle to get twenty wins all up between them this year.

We play that trio 3 times each. :spin

No chance the cats to miss

Good to see the planets are again aligned. Reasonably free draft and Richmond again a basket case.

Looking forward to the U18 Champs on tv and then the draft in November....best time of year for a RFC supporter!

Hopefully we get fully involved in this one and not trade away and pick mature agers who you can get in the rookie draft if necessary.

Yep - but I think with a non compromised draft that we may get deep into the juniors, having copped it big time for the recruitment strategy of recent years
