Scully hasn't been tested against anyone decent, u/18 form not particularly useful, you are basically judging a player who monsters his opponents & also has Lemmey & Barnett in the side so often takes the third best defender. Both have spent time at the AIS which is a plus but I feel Lemmey is the better & more versatile player. Scully is a bit more of a double grab player, he's also not as confident on the leads. I think in terms of high points, Lemmey's contested marking was a feature last year, 3 contested grabs against the bigger bodies in the SANFL plus a dominant campaign in the u/18 finals culminating a 20 disposal 3 goal game in the preliminary final.
How much can we take away from his state form this year? Not much, he was sidelined due to H&S protocols leading up to that carnival, he also didn't have great delivery & was eventually thown in the ruck. Let's just put it down to a lean patch. I think his reserves form has been decent, he averaged 1.5 goals & 10 possessions in West Adelaide's failed campaign, that's a solid note to bow out on. If you are looking for a comparison then I'd say Tom Lynch. I reckon he goes in the 30-50 range.
