Jake Soligo, 179cm running mid from Eastern Ranges. Neat skills, averaged 22.6 disposals and 6.3 tackles in seven NAB League games this year and had 17 touches when he played for our VFL side against the Giants. Kane Lambert type. Played well v Country.

Blake Howes. Athletic and talented medium (190cm) forward from Sandringham. Good leap, good hands, good ground game. Played a bit of wing and had 24 touches against the Devils. Averaged 15.7 touches and a goal a game in seven NAB games.
Both worth looking at round 2 and 3.

I reckon we should try and use a late pick to get Charlie Constable .
Kid gets a *smile* load of the ball.
193cm midfielder.
Could finally destroy Geelong forever.
Not sure why other clubs haven't shown interest.
A ball winning mid are the way to go.

And Cooper Murley?
made the U16 All Australian and his side's bnf as an underager.

he is a small midfielder.

Size: 178cm, 69kg

Foxfooty.com.au says: Murley made the All-Australian side back in 2019 after a starring carnival. The pandemic couldn’t stop him last year as he dominated for Norwood in the SANFL, winning the club’s Under 18 best and fairest. He averaged 26.6 disposals throughout the year, zipping out of the middle and disposing of it well off either boot.

He has been injured this year, ankle and collarbone so not long term concerns

Can play. Great ball user. Small size and frame against him.
small size but footballer who gets it and delivers well.
I think there is still a place for them, alongside the bigger bodies.

Especially after the Grand Final, no doubt the big bodies such as Mitch Knevitt get picked

Charlie Dean, 20yo at Williamstown has been invited to the combine.
A 195cm key back.

This year Willy played against us, cats, saints. Suggests 1 of the 3 are interested

Don't mind it. Reckon he's a victim of the Geelong tax (i.e. the younger you are, the less you play).

Not sure pace matters too much for an inside mid? As long as he can get from to contest to contest, win the ball and make good decisions with it, he's doing his job.

Not to be picky but should this thread be called 2nd and 3rd ROUND picks ? Perhaps getting lost a bit in amongst the general draft thread ?
