Anzac Day a day for Australians to be proud of but not for these proud Vets .

What a *smile* decision from a *smile* government.
How much money was spent and how many dickheads did take to come up with this decision.
How about these *smile* clowns get on with the job of working for their constituents.
Mob of flogging flogs

A question for those more knowledgeable in the area than i, did the government, "Albo & Co.", make the decision to take their medals off them, or did an independent tribunal?

Yeah, it's a bit odd, but further proof that the DailyMail requires a lobotomy to read it, let alone believe the spin in there.

The Defence Honours and Awards Appeals Tribunal, the body that made this decision, is made up of 11 people, 7 of which are high command military. So it's the military themselves that made this decision. To add further laughs to the story, most of the members on the Tribunal were appointed by the previous government.

But hey, let's not worry about the truth and facts of this story. If the DailyMail insinuates it's the current Governments decision, then let's just obey that dog whistle and repeat it ad nuseum.

:giggle:Of course they were. Did they mention how they vote?

So who made the decision for the Defence Department Honours and Appeals Tribunal to reverse their decision?
A call to Richard Marles. Did he order the about face?
Whoever it was, It was the right thing to do.

Dunno. Who did? Was Marles involved? Was Albo?

But the point here is that you went off blaming the current government when there is no evidence that the government were involved in the decision. It was a predominantly military tribunal that made the decision.

This is what happens when you believe *smile* you read in the DailyMail, you come out looking like a fool.

Did it happen under the current governments watch?
So what? Who to say they didn’t get advice from the government department? You? Who says there’s no evidence? You?

And yeah once I read the DailyMail link and it said the government was to blame that was good enough for me. it’s something that mob of useless *smile* would do.

Once the decision was reversed after a call from the minister it shows who is running the show.
And I said it was the right decision so went from looking like a fool to a *smile* genius.

What sort of an argument is that? There's no evidence that they didn't get their advice from the tooth fairy either.

Even the DailyMail *never* stated it was the government's decision. All they said is they have asked Marles why it happened, with no response from Marles. Then a quote from the shadow minister saying the decision is not on.

So from that you think it's normal and reasonable to blame the current government for the Tribunal's original decision? LOL

Yep. I blame the: for everything. Just like others blame Howard and Dutton for everything in the past.

Whoever the current government is, it’s their fault, it will be their fault and it was their fault.:giggle:

Defence Honours & Awards Tribunal in under the umbrella of Defence Minister Richard Marles therefore He would have had to tick that box for it to be executed. Now if Marles did not know therefore He has to kick someones ass.

Wrong again

The Defence Honours and Awards Appeals Tribunal is an independent statutory body established under the Defence Act to consider Defence honours and awards matters.

Individuals are able to apply to the Tribunal for an independent review of a decision of the Department of Defence regarding eligibility for a defence honour, defence award or a foreign award.

The Government is also able to refer general eligibility issues to the Tribunal for inquiry and recommendation.
