When the AFL changed the rules with the stand on the mark bollocks I knew it was all about dismantling the Richmond gameplan, let's be honest, the hierarchy have always wanted equalisation, they pride themselves on it. Unfortunately this kind of sports socialism has seeped into all facets of the game, from free kicks to dubious video decisions. It's policy on the run & has created situations like the Tom Stewart king hit which was largely ignored until the videos made the umpires look criminally negligent. If the AFL thinks fans will simply keep putting up with such garbage then they might be in for a rude shock. This year I found my interest waning, in part because Everest has already been scaled but also due to the arbitrary nature of officialdom & the blatant inconsistency you see on a weekly basis. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.
