Anyone still missing Caracella?

Dimma is the Master.

I was thinking this. When it is going well Dimma sometimes does not get the recognition.

I do like how we have adapted our game style. Maybe the loss of Carcella means we changed our plans, but without all training together we were unable to click. We look like we have clicked now. Hitting the top of the square. folding back very nicely. Guarded the corridor against the Lions beautifully.

I'll put my hand up. Have always felt that Dimma's natural strength as Head Coach is his player relationships, his man-management. Not tactical astuteness; also his coaching strength in defensive combativeness and strategies, that offence was not his area. Thus he needed a specialist in ball movement and attacking tactics like a Caracella.
Maybe our 2017-19 successes bore that out but who really knows what's happening inside the club and team except insiders? So maybe another assistant coach like Kingsley is ably filling the gap left by Cara. Again ,who really knows?
We also have learnt to gradually build into the year to be flying when it matters, not the infamous "March/April champions" as coined by Jack Dyer. Very astute. Further obstacles with all the Covid crap this year, so understandably took a while to adjust positively. [It's still like being stuck in an endless dark tunnel in Vic.]

It's really helped with the advent of Balta to shore up potential holes in our defence with Rance gone and Astbury injured. Along with the rise of mids like Bolton who has stepped into the breach caused by injuries to the midfield superbly. And that goes back to our recruiting team who have done a top job in recent years.

I believe he was Essendoom's midfield Coach, which has been a major weakness of thiers. Pass
