Been to a good gig lately/Concerts [Merged]

I went last night and they introduced him but i can't remember his name, although he was English.

Thought the concert was pretty good, the screen and light show was probably the best i had seen, miles better than the over-rated U2 one. Negatives were the half versions played of many songs and the Brian May guitar solo which was way too long or probably not needed at all considering May was front and centre nearly all night. Not sure a band with that back catalogue needs to play covers too. Adam Lambert is excellent. Freddie gets a good run and those sections were good. Poor old John Deacon doesn't rate a mention.
Lambert's got the voice but he still looks like a stand-in for the band. Why not get rid of his 'new romantics' look and blend in with the band a bit.

Yeah you could call it a medley. Perhaps more accurately they were squeezing 2 songs into the time frame of 1 (for example, Bicycle Race and Fot Bottomed Girls).
They did that with Bohemian Rhapsody and Radio GaGa at the Firefighters concert too.

Yeah, was a bit odd playing 2 minute version of some songs, I thought the cutting down of some songs was to get through the 30 song set but then there was the 8 minute guitar solo!

I liked the addition of Whole lotta love and Heartbreak hotel though.

The May ‘Brighton Rock’ guitar solo has been around for ever. It wouldn’t be Queen show without it.

Sleaford Mods. I might have been one of the oldest there but sh1t they were good. As the Saints supporter would say ‘do yourself a favour’.

Yeah was a great show. They seemed to really enjoy it as well. TCR!

Midnight Oil at Bluesfest tonight. *smile* ace. Killed it.

I don't want to name names but everyone's favourite northern rivers farmer might have bluffed his and four companions' way in with not much more than a hi-vis vest, a 2017 Tigers member's lanyard, and the confidence of a Norm Smith Medallist having a kick in the backyard. I'm paraphrasing, but "We're with the band" about covers it.

:ROFLMAO: Gold.
Yes mate the Oils are in fine form as saw them at Rod Laver a couple of weeks ago. Absolute pros. Hard to believe they're winding it all up.

Who do I complain to about the wait time to get in and out? & the mud? Pretty bad, although I had an old sports shoe that got muddy but not trashed.
After 2 years live Music was great though Church, Hoodoo Gurus and the Oils.
First time seeing the Church. Impressed. Although the beard made him look like Bono
the other bands I'd seen once before.
Both great live.
1920 were good and hilarious

Hitting them out of the screws, definitely going out on top.

Tell me about it. Took me an hour to travel the several hundred metres from the highway to the carpark yesterday. Bit of a shitshow this year.

Mud is part of Bluesfest. After working 10 hours in steel caps on my feet the whole time, I went barefoot for the Oils. Feet black but felt miles better.

Saw ”the Boss” at hanging rock , one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen .

I was there too, lucky enough to be with a friend of Jimmy Barnes who was the support act.

He hooked us up to watch from backstage with him while enjoying the catering and beverage service, and introduced us to Bruce and the band after the show.

Good looking rooster is Bruce, reckon he could have borrowed any of our wives that night.
