Pahoff wants to collect at least 100 signatures from fans at tomorrow's crucial clash between Richmond and Fremantle at the MCG to force an emergency meeting.

A meeting must be held 21 days after the required signatures are gathered.

When asked what he was calling for, Pahoff said: "A motion of no confidence in the current president Clinton Casey and the board of the Richmond Football Club because of continued financial losses, instability in its general administration and marketing departments and continued poor performance of its football department," he told Channel 10.

Casey was unavailable for comment last night.

The Tigers have endured a troubled year on and off the field.

Coach Danny Frawley is expected to be axed at the end of the season with the club languishing in 13th position with a 4-7 record.

While Richmond's depleted administrative ranks received a boost last week with the appointment of Motorola managing director Alan Nicklos to the board, it is still sinking into the mire.

Nicklos is the second new director to be named following the hasty departure of directors Brendan Schwab, Peter Welsh and Michael Daddo on the eve of the season.

The first appointed was radio host Anthony Mithen.

The Tigers are yet to find a chief executive following Ian Campbell's resignation in May.

Joint major sponsor TAC, which puts $600,000 a year into the club's coffers and is in the final year of a three-year contract, is reportedly set to end the relationship.

I'm still a bit lost sorry Phantom. That leaves 3 weeks to hold the EGM. If there's a vote of no confidence in the present board when do people nominate to replace them?
Do we have noone running the club for as long as it takes for candidates to nominate and get an election organised?

Rosy, its 21 days after the signatures are SUBMITTED. As suggested by David C, phanto can get the signatures tomorrow and then hold on to them for a while before submitting them.

The club has up to 21 days TO CALL an EGM after receiving the petition, then that EGM must be 21 days after the time the club call it.

So an EGM could be held between 22 and 42 days after the club actually receives it.

BTW, there is nothing in the articles to stop an EGM happening once a valid petition is received - in other words you can't change your mind once the process is started.
