CA are going to destroy Pucovski, his issues late last year were a clear indication that he doesn't have the mental strength to handle this yet. The statements from Langer and Hohns are nonsensical.

Loved Langer as a player, but he's losing me as coach with some of the sh!t coming out of his mouth.
Hohns is a *smile* head, and pretty much always has been.

Why is Renshaw playing 20/20? One he is simply not up to the requirements of the game and 2 he should be solely concentrating on long form cricket. His form inspires zero confidence, why do the heat keep picking him?

So in April Maxwell was sent a planning email for the year ahead in which it was suggested he take a rest between the limited overs tours of England and Zimbabwe and the Australia A tour of India a few weeks later. A month later Langer is appointed as coach, and Maxwell is wiped liked a dirty arse, it's not hard to work out why Maxwell isn't getting a game.

It's a disgrace.

Travis Head was picked in the test team based on his one day form now he is out of the one day team.

Maxwell is not picked based on 'form' but Renshaw and Laberschagne are, and Wade isnt.

last series 1 opener was picked plus Finch, now 3 openers are picked.

they pick a 20yo who has played 5 1st class games, just 2 this season.

it seems they have great selection policies.

Don't like to dish on a 20yo kid, but it seems like an extraordinary selection to me. Last thing he needs is to be thrown into the spotlight.

One thing in Pucovski's favour is that Sri Lanka hasn't got a very strong bowling attack. He also is in the elite company of players such as Bradman, Walters, Ian Chappell and Ponting to have scored a double century before they were 21.

Edit

Another thing about Pucovski, in 2016 he broke Ponting’s 22 year old record for the most runs in an under 19 National Championships, scoring 650 runs in eight innings, including four consecutive centuries.

I'd hope selection involves a bit more than looking at a table of averages and working your way down, but they've made some fairly contentious choices so they're on the hook as much as the players.

Yep, I know the selectors are copping it (Langer got “cranky” at a journo yesterday) but it’s quite clear there’s no structure to their selection policies.

Absolutely magnificent to see the Aussies in the retro WSC outfits.

My love for cricket was at its all time high when they wore those originally. Today was a great day, irrespective of the result.

Pandya and Rahul banned for 2 games for Pandyas comments on an Indian tv show where he said he watches how women move in night clubs.

The PC madness goes on.
