I reckon the Poms need another specialist batsmen, Morgan is a good hitter, but hasn't got the technique to be batting at 4 when he has to come in early against good bowling.
The pitch definitely juiced up during the day. Made Smith, Finch and Carey’s knocks more impressive.

As a pom, pretty disappointed. Roy being injured has exposed some of the other batsmen.
Some very poor shot selection, we made an ok bowler in Behrendorff look like the second coming of Glenn McGrath. Starc for me was the best bowler, the balls for Root and Stokers were almost unplayable. Cricinfo comparing Behrendorffs to Vince vs Starcs to Stokes. Vince was a poor shot for the 2nd ball of the innings, decent delivery but the one to get rid of Root by Starc not even mentioned in there but was better.
Poor shots from Vince, Morgan and Bairstow, then I went to bed.

The dorf has showed he could be a good ashes option for seaming england pitches. He offers a bit of variation compared to starc, cummins and hazlewood. Could be picked for certain pitches/conditions.
That sort of strong commitment deserves a like.

In the past series wins bowlers who haven't been great in Australian conditions sometimes thrive in England. Alderman being the classic, Fleming another. Quality swing being the key.
Australia's current bowlers are all quite similar being quick seamers.
Interesting comments from Brad Haddin that they specific identified the England game at Lords for the Dorf. Will take this type of thinking to win the Ashes back in what would be a win for the ages.
