Kellas out. Vics 4/83. 2nd day. Terrible batting at home. Junction oval looks more like junk oval nowadays.

It’s been a tough slog but Vics are 4/110 at stumps day 2.

SA need to win outright to claim the shields, Vics just have to draw.
 
Watched the 30 min highlight clip.

How good is Shield cricket.

And how well does it prepare our players for international level.

It is more hard fought and a better level than many tests.

If CA ever dilute it - Will be the end for our national test team.

Compare and contrast that with county cricket. More diluted than my lime Cottees cordial.

Vics 8/244. Ferg O'Neill top score in the match, currently 56*. Article on Liam Scott being an all-rounder - Ferg averages 20 with the ball and 24 with the bat!

Sam Elliott just barbecued by Shawn Craig, given caught in the gully off his thigh pad.

The Vics had one hand on the shield. Now it’s one finger. After having SA virtually 5/31 allowed SA to get a score of 268 and a lead of 197. Vics are now 5/102 with 94 runs still to get. Unfortunately a brittle batting line up has been the weak point of Victorian teams for quite some time.

Big day tomorrow to see if they can eke out 94 more runs or if they lose 5 wickets.
