RND 2 the pies, Tigers still two goals and change down n the third quarter, Griffiths flies high, lands hard and in true Griffiths style is Concussed and dosn’t come back on. So Grigg goes in as 2nd Ruck, we grab the lead and take control. A move that we exploit all season to the ultimate glory in 2017.





With the scores identical to the corresponding game in 2016, (84- 62) where the pies ran home with a steal and Treloar rubs cotchies hair in a gesture never forgotten a repeat is on the cards.








But not this time,








After a Treloar goal and the tigers only 10 points up, the Pies stream out of the middle and cotch runs down Phillips with what Bruce claims as a wonderful tackle. TV shows Puple head in the crowd going of his nut claiming a push in the back. Free paid to cotch. Saves a certain goal.





4 minutes later with 1.55 on the clock after caddy misses a set shot, scores 91-80. This time Treloar streams out of the back line and hand balls to Pendlebury, Pendlebury back to Treloar. As he streams away, in rushes cotch and tackles him to the ground. Ball paid again





After Cotch misses the goal, eventually Dusty kicks the sealer with 22 seconds to go.

Fantastic win. The game reveals our new found manic pressure. Cotch’s manic desire to not let a game be taken away from us. Dusty’s manic star burning bright and the master stroke as Grigg as a second ruck.

The birth of speed. Wow! We have found some serious pace with butler, Georgie and Rioli firing up the after burners. The mosquito fleet up forward screwed with the marking tall's of WC. Riolis goal from the boundary in the third was worth the price of admission alone. Dusty also kicks a blinder. Like the one of the three in the 2020 GF. Just leaves you laughing at his Dustyness. Oh he had the ball a bit with 40 touches.

Our defence is rock solid. Even with Tod Elton still getting a game. Maybe one of Conca's best games for the club according to Dermie.

The last quarter played in a down pour. Many pundits take it for granted now that if it rains we win. But Dermie asked the question as the rain came, " who does this favour.
