Yep, that's why growth rates were so low in the 1950s and 1960s when the top tax rate in the USA was 91% under a Republican administration, oh, wait a minute, growth was healthy then and you know what, progressive taxes actually did have an impact in redistributing income while death duties actually did have an impact in redistributing wealth. It worked, read Capital by Picketty and you can see the actual numbers. Not theory, not internally consistent but completely wrong ideology, actual facts.

The Dons director assigned to support consultant EY’s work on the selection process for a new chief exec was Dorothy Hisgrove, national manager for people and inclusion at KPMG Australia.
Peter Potato Dutton has weighed in on Thorburn:
“I’m very deeply concerned, about the development in relation to this Essendon situation and the dismissal, frankly, should be reversed and Mr Thorburn should be reappointed to his position.
But the comments and the actions of Andrew Thorburn are completely distanced from that and the fact that an individual can be sacked from a position because of his religious belief doesn’t have any place in our country.”

But he wasn’t dismissed. He resigned. He wasn’t even due to officially start in the role until November.
