Essendon = Entitlement

Tom Browne door stopped Clarko at the airport and asked him about “the allure of coaching a top 4 team like Essendon.”

FFS how long has it been since Essendon was anything like a top 4 team. The media love that toilet of a club no matter what they do.

If they ever become a power again I’m leaving the country because the media love will be too much for me to handle

The media love the Bombers at the moment because they are the club that keeps giving them news stories And have done continually since the Greg issue.
if they ever clean up their act the media will love another club.

Heh heh heh…Arsendon fans are already split on Clarko.
Not surprised. Who's their alternative? At least lolnorf mentioned Hinkley or Cameron while these big-headed a-holes seem 100% sure Clarko's the messiah.

They should admit the error of their ways and go cap in hand to Knighta, it's the only way to break the curse :)

I think ol Dingbat Browne got his Big 4 status mixed up with Top 4 Status.

Either way Essington are neither at the minute.

Maybe still Big 4 Status in Melbourne with the Tigers, Maggots, and the Blues but not the AFL. Geelong aren't a Melbourne side so they dont count.

Richmond, Collingwood, West Coast and Adelaide are the competitions big 4.

If they actually considered Tird coaching them, this would be utter lunacy.

Apart from the horrendous optics, he had a few years as a coach where he had Thompson‘s guidance and an absurd substance program, and now he’s had 3 whole months as an assistant at gws. The modern professional pathway that coaches go through nowadays would be producing far superior coaches at most clubs that have actually been trained and accredited to carry out the role. What a debacle for them if they went down the Tird path again. It would be an absolute train wreck.

Where are Essendon placed if they miss out on Clarkson?? What is plan B?? They have scorched Rutten. Who, outside of Essendon would be keen? Hinkley is staying at Port. Who, of interest is on the market. Rossy Lyon doesn’t seem interested in a return to coaching.

However. McVeigh has by all accounts missed out on GWS fulltime.

But…..bring Mark McVeigh back to the bombers for a year or so…..with…maybe Hirdy to assist…. Dean Solomon has been approached to return to Essendon from GC in the last few days. Caracella is already there. Dodoro as the greatest list manager ever and Sheeds as the benevolent, all seeing guru on the board as Hird’s crew protector…..

I am telling you…they are trying to get the band back together
