Apologies if its been asked before, but it was mentioned in the presser we will have an opportunity to farewell Dimma.

What's the chances of it being Rd 23 v North @ the G, Dimma v Clarko (hopefully he is back) ?

Podcast today built on this. Thought it was pretty funny.

Said applause at 17 19 and 20 mark.

1 minute of booing mason cox at 18 minute mark.

Yeah, part of me thinks he could have been coach in name this Sunday- let Mini do all the work, but Dimma just look important. but it wouldnt be the right thing to do.
Hopefully they find a good home game to see him off properly.

Maybe if things dont pan out well this year, rd 23 against North could be a farewell for him, Cotch and Jack. Might be a way to get over 10k to the game.

But it is not about you

It's not just about him either, these are iconic moments that deserve a place in history. If he had coached this week it would have been a full house at the MCG and win, lose or draw would have created post match scenes that would instantly sit amongst the most famous images in the history of the game.

Hardwick and his family would have treasured them even if he doesn't realise that now. It's a great shame someone wasn't able to talk him into doing it.

once you are done, you're done.

Don't agree, I've seen first hand several absolutely elite sports people announce their departure before a final game or series.

Without exception they have all been beautiful celebrations that they look back on with great joy, and a special moment for everyone involved.

1000 of them, with the 1001st in a semi-collapsed state with the grill out of gas and tipped over and raw snags ceremonially strewn around. I like it a lot, its art, and life, and Dimma.

Best coach in my lifetime, will be missed & very difficult to replace. Hardwick changed the way the game was played, his impact was so telling that the AFL had to change the rules to stop Richmond winning. That to me is the highest compliment a coach can receive, even though the socialist agenda ensured there would be no more cups for Richmond. I also think Hardwick is a classic case of allowing a coach to grow into a role. The dream team of Jackson & Hardwick pliable in the face of a changing game, both had to modify their approach and both rose to the challenge. 2017-2020 the gift that keeps giving, those memories will never be erased. Thank you Dimma and the best of luck with your future endeavors.
