Tim Fleming’s unbroken run of games since finally breaking into the AFL this season is set to continue after he was cleared of rough play.
Fleming was charged with rough play against Collingwood’s Jason Cloke during the opening minutes of Friday night’s loss at the MCG but successfully argued he had only executed a legitimate bump in legitimate circumstances.
“I’m diving in for a ball in dispute," he told the tribunal in evidence.
“I’m trying to clear a space for the ball by bumping the other player off the ball.”
The tribunal took less than three minutes to clear Fleming of the charge.
