I was trying to work Wednesday into it too, but came up shorter than you did TIA.

Perhaps Mercury is the same god as Odin as in Wodens-day. Buggered if I know where Green comes into it tho.

Did a bit of a search before posting. Apparently Wednesday came from various Latin-descent languages: mercredi in French, miercuri in Romanian, and miercoles in Spanish. Mercury is known as the green planet.
