Just caught up with last night's round. What a course. They'd walk off exhausted. Rahm looks the winner to me, or the god-botherer, but hopefully Fitz or Zala.

Be good to see Min Woo Lee throw down a 65!

I must be getting old , but the “ get in the hole” or “ mashed potatoes “ is *smile* annoying, any suggestions on how to handle these spectators at the “open” :))

Should be a great back nine, Scheffler, Fitzpatrick and Zalatoris all within one shot of each other.

Tried to have a Peter McKenna on Zalatorisa couple holes back at $6:50 couldn’t bet live for some reason , he’s a certainty now;)

Just a yank thing isn't it?

Different galleries over there I reckon, but no doubt there will still be a fool or two around.

So much still to play out with 6 holes to go.

All 3 players you mention have looked the winner at different stages.

Well played Fitzpatrick, greatly deserved. Scheffler's 4 over on the back nine yesterday cost him the championship.

Awesome win .

just like to point out I had a bet on him at the Masters and the Open ($34) :):mad:

Geez the yank commentators enjoy a good win from an outsider :mhihi

Amazing how often in a major the eventual winner chips in or holes a long putt around the 13th in the final round

It was a super solid round from Fitzpatrick, Faldo like fairways and greens.

Bloody lucky the bunker on 18 didn't derail him though. Nice to see Billy Foster win a major as a caddy as well, well known as Seve's caddy in the Fruitcake incident.

Yep super impressive Fitzpatrick was.

Amazing round of golf. 17 out of 18 GIR is great ball striking on any course, let alone this one.

Sheffield steel babyyyyyyy ! Great win Fitzpatrick. Even though I backed the Snuffler in the final round I'm glad Fitzpatrick won. Great course. Great US Open. Boston gets it done again !

Thought Fitzpatrick's putter let him down mid round ....and then it saved him. Awesome second shot on 18. (Azinger was hoping he was gonna *** it up). Clitatoris lost it off the tee a few times on the back 9 but he fought back not once but twice during the round. Gutsy. The Snuffler was great except for 2 holes - 10 and 11. The others never really looked like it except for Hideki who got in early with a great round.

Awesome US Open. All things being equal I'm going to next year's at the LA Country Club in Bel-Air.

The scrutineers are running their eyes over the final calculations. Suffice to say there has been an incredible last day comeback. Once the final totals have been double and triple checked will post the results.

"As for the 15 LIV Golf members who played at the US Open — potentially the last major on US soil they will be invited to — it was ugly reading.

LIV Golf’s highest-ranked player, Dustin Johnson, was its best performer, finishing at four-over for a tie for 17th.

Only three others made the cut; Richard Bland (T43, +8), Patrick Reed (T49, +10) and Bryson DeChambeau (T56, 13+).

Those who missed it were Sergio Garcia (+4), James Piot (+4), Talor Gooch (+5), Kevin Na (+5), Branden Grace (+5), Louis Oosthuizen (+6), Sam Horsfield (+6), Shaun Norris (+8), Phil Mickelson (+11), Jinichiro Kozuma (+13) and Jed Morgan +16.

In total, that’s 15 players for a combined 118-over par."

And the WINNER is......good gracious it's Tenacious.

In an unbelievable collapse, the Red Ford's got a massive puncture over the final two rounds to shoot 36 over and lose the unloseable by 3 shots. Brian Harman aint getting no xmas cards this year. Red did find the eventual winner in Fitzpatrick and was the only one to get 6 players through the cut mark so in many ways was the moral winner. But like LIV, we say *smile* morals, congratulations Tenacious.

In a quirk of the new format Tenacious was able to use one of his cut players scores on the Sat of +6 instead of the Morikawa +7 to save a shot. And the improved final round scoring average of just 72.09 meant +4 was the marker for cut players. Combined with the -11 for his 3 top players saw a rare sub-par final round.

Red hung on to second place with BT Tiger doing a great job with the bronze considering he only had 4 players make the cut, incurring +20 for the weekend from the 2 cut players.

Sammy Cougar won the Flint Tropics award. 4TH PLACE!

After a promising start, the STC challenge fizzled out faster than a shooting star. But it was progress and big things are expected from STC at the BO.

Mopsy courageously held on to the NAGA, and was a Cantlay quintuple bogey away from shouting "yahtzee".

I would check the scores, and as usual all prizemonies will be distributed when Dubai David Maxwell turns up with our briefcase.

Looking forward to the BO, not sure if there are any suggestions for tweaks to the format?
